Japanese and Indonesian seen from morphological typology is an agglutinative language in which the morphological processes are done by affixation, i.e. by adding prefixes, suffixes and infixes. While the basic sequence sentence structure has a SOV sequence pattern for Japanese and SVO for Indonesian. The predicate filled by the verb is capable of binding arguments in constructing the clause structure, so that there are verbs with one, two and three arguments, it depends on the type of verb. This study is a preliminary study of Japanese and Indonesian derivative verbs: the study of linguistic typology. The Theory of Linguistic Typology is used to analyze the formation of Japanese and Indonesian derivative verbs in which the verb serves as the core of the predicate to bind the argument in constructing the clause structure.From the perspective of linguistic typology, the results of the analysis show that (1) the basic form of Japanese derivative verb formers are adjectives (keiyoushi) and noun verbs, whereas Indonesian derivative verbs are derived from adjectives, nouns and pre-categorical. (2) The Japanese derivation affixes joining the adjective (keiyoushi) are -める meru, -まる maru, -がる garu', -む mu and which joins the noun verb is -する suru. While the derivational affix of the Indonesian that joined the nouns are meng-, ber-, ter-, ke-an, ber-an, ber-kan, per-, -i, per-i, per-kan, the affix that joins the adjective are meng-, ber-, ter-, ke-an, ber-an, ber-kan, per-, -kan, per-i, dan -i and the affixes that join the pre-categorical are meng-, ter-, ber-, ber-an, -i,-kan.
This study aims to determine the service quality and efforts of the Front Office department at Alila Villas Uluwatu in maintaining and improving the quality of its services. This research used a descriptive statistical analysis with purposive sampling method and collecting data using the method of observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation. The results on this research was the service quality of the Front Office department at Alila Villas Uluwatu are good and optimal. The quality service of Front Office department at Alila Villas Uluwatu based on 5 variables, namely tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. The analysis results showed that all variables has greater percentage of positive reviews than negative reviews. The advice that can be given is to inform more clearly about the location in each Front Office section such as the lobby and villa.
Pura Luhur Uluwatu yang berada di ujung selatan kaki Pulau Bali terletak di Desa Uluwatu, Kecamatan Kuta Selatan, Kabupaten Badung sangatlah terkenal, dan keberadaannya merupakan salah satu daya tarik wisata unggulan di Bali. Di berbagai majalah dan brosur pariwisata Bali kerap kali terpampang foto Pura Uluwatu yang berdiri menjulang dengan latar belakang hamparan laut biru yang memukau. Pura Uluwatu telah menjadi ikon pariwisata Bali. Warga Desa Adat Pecatu yang mengemban tanggung jawab dan menjadi pendukung utama kegiatan perawatan maupun ritual keagamaan di Pura Uluwatu, sehingga bisa terus menebarkan pesona yang mampu menarik minat wisatawan. Pura Luhur Uluwatu merupakan salah satu obyek wisata andalan di Pulau Bali, dan pada kenyataannya Desa Pecatu mengalami pertumbuhan pesat wisatawannya sejak tahun 1990-an. Berdasarkan Struktur Desa Pecatu, Pura Luhur Uluwatu berada pada Manajemen khusus dan berada di bawah Desa Adat Pecatu yang di bawahnya ada bidang Pemandu Wisata. Jurusan Pariwisata Politeknik Negeri Bali sebagai lembaga pendidikan vokasi mengamati perlunya peningkatan SDM Pemandu Wisata Pura Luhur Uluwatu, terutama bahasa asing termasuk bahasa Jepang. Dengan meningkatkan kualitas bahasa dalam melayani wisatawan asing diharapkan kedatangan wisatawan asingpun meningkat, dan pada gilirannya peningkatan ekonomipun meningkat pula. Dari pengamatan yang dilakukan, Pemandu Wisata di Pura Uluwatu masih kurang mampu berkomunikasi dengan orang asing, terutama dengan orang Jepang. Oleh karena itu kemampuan komunikasi Pemandu Wisata yang masih minim harus ditingkatkan. Kondisi ini perlu disikapi dengan memberikan pelatihan bahasa Jepang Dasar bagi Pemandu Wisata di Pura Luhur Uluwatu, khususnya bahasa Jepang yang menekankan pada pelayanan pariwisata dan komunikasi sehari-hari. Dengan meningkatnya kemampuan bahasa Jepang yang tepat, diharapkan akan meningkatkan kualitas layanan Pemandu Wisata Pura Luhur Uluwatu kepada pengunjung (customer service) khususnya wisatawan Jepang dapat mencapai kepuasan pengunjung (customer satisfaction) yang pada gilirannya wisatawan asing akan lebih banyak datang dan nantinya dapat meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat.
This paper examines the dynamics of lexicons ‘bitter gourd fields’ in Sundanese speech focusing on two problems; (1) How is the language form of lexicon ‘bitter gourd fields’ in Sundanese speech? and (2) How is the dynamics of lexicon ‘bitter gourd fields’ in Sundanese speech? This study applies ecolinguistic theory, and is a descriptive study with qualitative and quantitative approaches. There are two types of data: primary and secondary data. The primary data source is Sundanese speakers who live in Sumedang regency, and as a sample of study, key informants are those above 55 years old and teenagers among 15- 18 years old, and the secondary data are documents related to this study. Data were collected through observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation. The result shows that lexicon ‘bitter gourd fields’ in Sundanese speech of Sumedang regency is grouped based on entities reality of keparean sawah (bitter gourd fields). There are 149 lexicon which are classified into 74 nouns, 74 verbs, and 1 adjective. The dynamics of bitter gourd fields in Sundanese speech, there are 78 lexicons still surviving, while 71 others are less known. It happens due to the influence of many factors and shifts in people’ knowledge and beliefs.
