Waste management is problems are almost faced by all cities in Indonesia. Therefore, it is necessary to manage waste management with environmentally sound management in accordance with the mandate of Law No. 18 of 2008 on waste management. The aspect highlighted in the management of waste management in Pontianak City is the technical aspect of waste management and non-technical operations so that it can be known whether management of waste management is environmentally sound or unlike the bill of legislation. Pontianak City makes application-based innovations in managing garbage. The purpose of this research is to describe, analyse, and interpret, as well as recommendations on: (1) Waste management management covering technical aspects of operational and non-technical. (2) Environmentally sound and application-based waste management management. The methods used are qualitative descriptive, approach study studies, data sources derived from interviews with informant, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is interactive model analysis by reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions and verification.
English speaking skill is an important communication skill and must be mastered by students to be able to interact actively, convey ideas and provide responses in both formal and informal situations. Alternative assessment provides benefits for students and teachers in improving students' speaking skill in English. This research focuses on an alternative assessment of English speaking skill in Vocational High Schools in Pontianak City, especially South Pontianak. The objectives of this research are (1) to determine problems related to the English speaking skill of vocational school students in South Pontianak, (2) to identify and analyze alternative assessments applied in overcoming the problems of English speaking skill of vocational school students in South Pontianak, and 3) to find a solution to the English speaking skill problems of vocational school students in South Pontianak by using alternative assessments. This research was a qualitative research, and data were collected from interviews with English teachers and documents analysis. Data were collected through interviews with English teachers at SMK in south Pontianak and analysis of related documents. The stages of data analysis include data reduction, display data, and conclusion drawing / verification. The results showed that the problems faced by students related to English speaking skill were limited ability of students caused by several factors, namely grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and self-confidence. The alternative assessments that were applied include performance - assessment, peer - assessment and portfolio. The solutions taken were to involve students in providing assessments to other students and the teacher focuses on conveying information clearly and conveying the moral values that are learned without focusing too much on grammar. The suggestions that the researchers gave were in the form of matriculation for students in the early year of school, knowledge sharing between teachers, determining priority aspects of speaking that were assessed and implementing self-assessment as an additional form of alternative assessment that could motivate and encourage students to gradually improve their speaking skills in English.
Mangrove forest conservation on the coast of West Kalimantanhas been successfully carried out and saved the environment from coastal abrasion (ecological benefit) and provided economic benefits for the community. This study aims to describe the role of the community in mangrove conservation activities in the coastal areas of West Kalimantan. Survey methods were used in this research. The data was collected through interviews based on questionnaires and in-depth interviews. Data processing was conducted by calculating the percentage and then analyzed by tabulation. Mangrove conservation activities are based on community experiences in saving the environment, boosting economic activities, and obtaining benefits from conservation results. The involvement of the local community uses the bottom-up approach, starting from planning activities, implementation, utilization, and evaluation. In general, the local community’s level of involvement is still at the information and consultation stage. The involvement of the local community as an individual varies greatly, from those who are only involved as part of formality to the level of being actively involved, having decision-making authority, and being able to negotiate and deal directly with capital sources. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini berjudul Pelatihan Singkat Perawatan Kendaraan Bermotor Roda Dua untuk Masyarakat Desa Pal IX Kecamatan Sungai Kakap Kabupaten Kubu Raya Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Latar belakang dari dilaksanakannya kegiatan ini adalah adanya masyarakat Kabupaten Kubu Raya umunya dan Desa Pal IX khususnya, yang meskipun lokasinya berdekatan dengan kota Pontianak, tapi memiliki kondisi jalan yang masih kurang stabil. Kondisi jalan tersebut diasumsikan akan membuat motor yang dimiliki masyarakat lebih cepat rusak jika masyarakat tidak melakukan perawatan secara rutin. Tujuan dari diadakannya kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihan mengenai dasar-dasar perawatan motor terutama mesin motor kepada masyarakat, agar mereka dapat meningkatkan pengetahuannya mengenai perawatan dasar mesin motor yang mereka miliki. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu metode pelatihan dengan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi oleh narasumber dari Astra Ayani dan tim teknisi dari Honda. Hasil dari kegiatan ini, masyarakat memiliki pengetahuan mengenai perawatan mendasar mengenai mesin motor agar usia kendaraan menjadi lebih lama meskipun kondisi jalan kurang stabil.
The purpose of this study was to measure the Community Satisfaction Index on the Pontianak Drive Thru Land Service (PERDANA) and to analyze the results of the level of community satisfaction on the PERDANA at the Pontianak City Land Office. This research uses quantitative research methods. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the Community Satisfaction Index with Pontianak Drive Thru Land Services at the Pontianak City Land Office has been implemented properly with a high variable criterion of 89. The highest index value is 94 on the cost/tariff indicator. The lowest index value of 75 is on the Completion Time indicator. With the innovations that have been issued by the Pontianak City Land Office, it proves that the PERDANA gives satisfaction to the community. The Pontianak City Land Office can improve service quality in terms of service completion time such as being able to add PERDANA implementing officers in terms of correcting files online so that files can be corrected accurately and quickly and can maintain exchange system solutions (applicants provide physical files and officers provide Deposit Orders (Surat Perintah Setor/SPS)) so that there are no file arrears caused by applicants who have made payments but did not deliver physical files, and can improve service quality in terms of facilities, namely minimizing server downtime by updating the PERDANA website to an application that can be uploaded.
