Liquid soap is an important cosmetic product for the community because it is used in everyday life. Liquid soap is made through a saponification reaction from oil or fat which is reacted with alkalis. Betel nut (Areca catechu L.) contains flavonoid compounds that have antiseptic properties and alkaloid compounds that act as bacteria inhibitors. Objective: This study aims to formulate liquid soap with the addition of Areca catechu L. extract to test the antimicrobial activity of formulated soap preparations. Method: The research design was in the form of an experimental method, namely by extracting the simplicia Areca catechu L. with the maceration method to obtain a thick extract of Areca catechu L. Evaluation of the quality of the soap included pH and high foam. Antimicrobial activity testing used the good method against liquid soap formulation and positive control. The microbe tested was Staphylococcus aureus (gram-positive bacteria). Result: The test results of the quality of the liquid soap formulation showed that the pH of the test soap was 10 and the positive control pH was 9 and the foam height had good results, namely 1-2cm, and had met SNI 06-4085-1996 standards. The results showed that formulation III with an extract content of 10% had great antimicrobial activity on the microbe Staphylococcus aureus with a value of 20.66mm. In the positive control, the antimicrobial activity showed a value of 15.21mm. at a concentration of 5%, the inhibition diameter was 14.77mm and the concentration was 7.5%, the inhibition diameter was 15.77mm. The results of statistical analysis using the One-Way ANOVA method followed by Post hoc analysis showed that the liquid soap extract of Areca catechu L. had greater antimicrobial potential than the positive control. Conclusion: Liquid soap formulation with the addition of thick extract Areca catechu L with a concentration of 10% has the greatest antimicrobial activity compared to the concentration of 5%, 7.5%, and positive control X.
The important role of MSMEs is increasingly being felt in the process of national economic development in Indonesia. Branta Tinggi Village is one of the villages in Tlanakan District, Pamekasan Regency which has a large number of MSMEs. However, there are still many MSME owners in Branta Tinggi Village who do not understand the importance of business legality in the form of making a Business Identification Number (NIB), because some people have an understanding that obtaining business permits and legality is a complicated and time-consuming matter. Meanwhile, the Business Identification Number (NIB) itself plays an important role in running a business. In carrying out this community service activity, the University of Madura KKN 4 Team is trying to increase the potential of MSMEs to improve the welfare of the people of Branta Tinggi Village. One of them is by helping to make NIB (Business Identification Number) in 3 hamlets. This community service activity is given in making a Business Identification Number (NIB) which is carried out through the door to door method where this service activity is carried out in real time by visiting the residence of each UMKM in three hamlets in the village of Branta Tinggi.
Allah SWT is the absolute ruler of the universe and its contents, but Allah SWT also gives a small portion of His power to His servants in different forms according to the needs of His servants. This foundation is the basis for researchers to carry out a study entitled "Sulthan” in the Qur'an. The main problem is what is the meaning of “Sulthan” in the Qur'an? How are the forms of “Sulthan” in the Qur'an? What is the function of the “Sulthan” in the Qur'an? This study uses a library research method, and for further discussion, the researcher uses the ‘maudhu'iy’, which uses various relevant commentary books. The researcher also completes this research with the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, which the researcher quotes from the original source. Based on the research that the researchers conducted, it can be concluded that in the Qur'an, there are two meanings of “Sulthan”, namely, power and evidence, which are spread over 39 verses, and 27 surahs. The Qur'an also describes anyone who accepts the “Sulthan”, including Prophets, ordinary people, and demons/devils.“Sulthan” also has several functions: to have the correct beliefs, avoid punishment, and conquer opponents. As for the forms of “Sulthan” in the Qur'an that researchers can conclude are “isim” and “fi'il”, their function is to show the power of Allah and prove the weakness of the enemy of Allah SWT. Bagaimana bentuk-bentuk sulthan dalam al-Qur’an? Apa fungsi sulthan dalam al-Qur’an? Kata Kunci: sulthan dan Al-Qur’an, ayat
Introduction: To report a patient with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) who developed proliferative leukemic retinopathy with bilateral exudative retinal detachments and optic disc swelling. Case Report: A 11-year-old girl diagnosed with ALL-L2 on maintenance chemotherapy presented with severe blurred vision in both eyes for the past 1 year. Her visual acuity was 0,5/60 for both eyes. Slit-lamp examination of the anterior segment was found normal. Dilated fundus examination revealed tortuous retinal vessels, retinal haemorrhage, retinal and optic disc neovascularizations, optic disc with indistinct margins, and total retinal detachments in both eyes, as well as vitreous haemorrhage in the left eye. The ultrasonography examination revealed bilateral subretinal fluid. Discussion: The patient was diagnosed with bilateral proliferative leukemic retinopathy with exudative retinal detachments and infiltrative optic neuropathy, and left eye vitreous haemorrhage due to ALL. Conservative treatment was given. She continued the maintenance chemotherapy from pediatric department. After 2 months follow up, the visual acuity did not improve although retinal detachments were reduced. There were atrophic changes at the retina of her both eyes. Conclusion: It was reported a rare case of proliferative leukemic retinopathy with bilateral exudative retinal detachments and optic disc swelling. Early recognition and treatment is crucial to improve prognosis.
