The nonlinear and linear properties in Metglas/piezofiber magnetoelectric composites under DC bias fields (Hbias) have been investigated via a frequency‐conversion technique. It was found that the major noise near the carrier frequency (fC) is caused by the driven source. Both linear ME coefficient and noise floor near fC (bandwidth of noise measurement is 10 Hz) were dependent on Hbias, while the nonlinear ME coefficient was independent. A high magnetic‐field sensitivity of 40 pT was obtained after optimizing Hbias. (© 2014 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
