Christianity is one of the greatest institutions ever founded in the human race. It is a divine institution that was founded by Jesus Christ to carry out His mission in the world laying the foundation of love and salvation as a free gift to everyone. The Christian church history insulated into different periods that are separated by great events. The study focused on the historical beginnings, the rise and growth of Pentecostal Churches and contributing factors which led to its establishments, spread and expansion. It was mainly anchored on Mc Gavran’s theory on Church growth and Christian mission which discussed about the three main varieties of church growth namely: biological, transfer, and conversion growths. It utilized Qualitative and Quantitative procedures using Historical Approach. The study found out that upon the birth of Pentecostal Churches, they hold distinctive teachings yet they have some slight differences in the structure of leadership. Though they have almost the same practices of Christianity, what matters most is they follow the teachings of the Bible in a different dynamic ways.
Education 4.0 is the desired learning strategy that coincides with the fourth industrial revolution. This study aimed to determine the extent of teachers' knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and instructional practices in the context of Education 4.0. A quantitative descriptive research design using a survey technique was employed. The participants of this study were the basic education teachers of St. Paul University Surigao. The main instrument used to solicit information is a five-part questionnaire adapted from Arpilleda and Mallillin (2020). The statistical tools used in this study were Frequency Count and Percentage Distribution, Mean and Standard Deviation, ANOVA, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. Findings revealed that the Basic Education Teachers of St. Paul University Surigao are fully aware of the nature of the fourth industrial revolution in education who possess a positive attitude towards its demands and accept its principles that the learners are at the center of the future ecosystem focusing on an innovative-producing education. The teacher's age, sex, length of service, and highest educational attainment affects their knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and instructional practices in the context of Education 4.0. It is recommended that the teachers strengthen their practice of teaching students to interpret data for them to apply their theoretical knowledge to numbers, as this was found to be the lowest indicator among the instructional practices.
This study aims to explore the experiences of learners, parents, teachers and school leaders in delivering instruction to Junior High School students during Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT) in Cebu City South Districts for the School Year 2021-2022.The study utilized the phenomenological design to explore the experiences of learners, teachers, parents, and school leaders in delivering instruction to junior high school students during Emergency Remote Teaching in Cebu City South Districts for the school year 2021-2022. The emergent themes generated from the data gathered in this study include (1) partnership & linkages experiences, (2) resource management experiences, (3) instructional management experiences, (4) strategic engagement management experiences, and (5) human development management experiences.
This study aimed to assist and measure the extent of the implementation of the key areas of the Graduate School Program at St. Paul University Surigao. Examining the level of its attainment was the basis for coming up with a quality road map for sustainable development of the Graduate School Program. This study was based on the extent of implementation of the key areas rating result as perceived by the university administrators, graduate school faculty members, and staff and the criteria set by the PACUCOA in each program rating result. This study used a quantitative approach and descriptive methods of research. The data of this study were sourced from the respondents, which investigated the correlation between the quality education perceived rating by the university and the PACUCOA accreditation rating. It further investigated the quality of education in the SPUS Graduate School program offerings based on PACUCOA accreditation rating. The findings of this study revealed that St. Paul University-Graduate School was consistent in rating the key area on the Philosophy and Objectives as the highest and followed by the Administration across all programs. The PACUCOA and SPUS both rated the key areas of, Philosophy & Objectives and Administrators as the highest rating across all programs, although they differed in the number of percentages which meant they both believed that administrators or school leadership had become a priority in education policy agenda both local and international. There was a significant difference between the university's rating for quality education and the university’s PACUCOA accreditation rating. The self-performance rating of the SPUS Graduate School from the different programs on the PACUCOA standards was the same. PACUCOA rated the key area on “Curriculum and Instruction” as the highest rating across all programs except for the MPA program compared to the University rating. Although, the University rated “Curriculum and Instruction” as the lowest rating in all programs except for the MPA program, which was interpreted as “Very Good.”
This study evaluates the Human Resources Management Practices in selected private schools in Cebu City. Findings serve as basis for a proposed improvement program. This study employs a descriptive survey design to determine the perceptions of employees on the human resource development program among private schools. The profile of the respondents will be tested for relationship with the level of effectiveness of the human resources management practices. The perceptions of the respondents will be tested for differences. Effectiveness of Achieving Goal gained the highest level of effectiveness while HR Competencies lowest level of effectiveness among the 3 dimensions. This would mean that the respondents that came from the different schools made a high level of perceptions on the effectiveness on achieving goal. There is a significant degree of variance on the analysis of variance on the perceptions of the employees on the evaluation of the human resource development program of the school in terms of championing employees. A closer view revealed that Effectiveness of Achieving Goal gained the highest level of effectiveness while HR Competencies lowest level of effectiveness among the 3 dimensions. This would mean that the respondents that came from the different schools made a high level of perceptions on the effectiveness on achieving goal. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended that a Human Resource Development Program will be implemented in order to increase the level of effectiveness of private schools in achieving its goals and the process of delivery of products and services as these will serve as benchmarks for improvement of administrative expertise, nurture and develop employees to its full potential for them to become passionate, effective and innovative non-teaching staff.
