Risk assessment is a structured and systematic procedure, which is dependent upon the correct identification of hazards and an appropriate assessment of risks arising from them, with a view to making inter-risk comparisons for purposes of their control and avoidance. There are differences in the methodology used to conduct risk assessments. This paper presents some methodologies of risk management in the IT (information technology) area. In addition, a method of risk assessment created and applied by our expert team in this area is described. As there is a similarity between these methodologies, the paper presents the use of methods from the occupational health area in the IT area. All items in the risk assessment methodology for working environment and workplace are modified to IT as working environment and to an application as a workplace. In that way, the risk assessment process in the safety analysis of an IT system is carried out by an original method from the occupational health area.

The Advanced Technical School from Novi Sad set up a completely new study group for web design in 2004. The paper explains its organization and gives course descriptions. When it was established, there were not many similar groups in the world exclusively dealing with web design, whose programs could serve as role models, hence the curriculum and syllabus had to be based on our own experience. They cover inevitable web issues like usability, user-oriented web design, accessibility, privacy and security, which are briefly discussed in the paper. The purpose of the research referring to web accessibility and privacy presented in one of the sections was to help create the two documents. The students' prior knowledge was also an important parameter in their writing. The curriculum and syllabus have been updated recently, and the improved version given herein will be in use from the next academic year.

The paper describes the initiative of the management of a higher education institution to design and realize an Information System (IS) in order to implement new study rules for new study programmes that are in agreement with the Bologna Declaration.The authors based their work on the common theory about projecting ISs, but with focus on expected practical results. The goal is to achieve better organization in our Institution and necessary informing about conditions and regulations of studies. This information has to be supplied to both students and faculty staff.Knowing the old study system and its differences with respect to the new one, authors attempted to create a prototype for a new IS that incorporates strict rules regarding enrolment into study years, course selection, and taking exams. In this way the IS will resolve many issues and questions for students and staff alike.
