Clinical trials have proven the efficacy of therapeutic hypothermia in improving the functional outcome after cardiac arrest (CA) compared with the normothermic controls. Experimental researches also demonstrated quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) analysis was associated with the long-term outcome of the therapeutic hypothermia in brain injury. Nevertheless, qEEG has not been able to provide a prediction earlier than 6h after the return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC). In this study, we use C0 complexity to analyze the nonlinear characteristic of EEG, which could predict the neurological recovery under therapeutic hypothermia during the early phase after asphyxial cardiac arrest in rats. Twelve Wistar rats were randomly assigned to 9-min asphyxia injury under hypothermia (33 degrees C, n=6) or normothermia (37 degrees C, n=6). Significantly greater C0 complexity was found in hypothermic group than that in normothermic group as early as 4h after the ROSC (P0.05). C0 complexity at 4h correlated well with the 72h neurodeficit score (NDS) (Pearson's correlation = 0.882). The results showed that the C0 complexity could be an early predictor of the long-term neurological recovery from cardiac arrest.
In the face of increasingly complex market environment, supply chain members pay attention to the possibility of obtaining expected profits and various risks while considering profit maximization. The behaviors of decision makers are often influenced by their psychological preferences, and loss aversion is one of the basic characteristics of human economic behavior. We research the supply chain coordination problem with capital constraint and loss-averse retailer in the case of stochastic production and demand. In order to address the loss aversion, a novel utility function is structured according to the theory of mental account. Under wholesale price contract, the optimal expected utility of supply chain under decentralized decision is smaller than that under centralized decision due to the retailer’s constrained capital. Based on that, a model is constructed by making revenue sharing contract act as the dual role of supply chain coordination and delayed payment strategy without seeking external financing or internal financing, and the contract conditions and optimal decisions of the coordinated supply chain are solved. Theoretical analysis indicates that when the contract parameters are properly selected, even though the retailer’s capital is constrained, the revenue sharing contract can not only coordinate the supply chain but also realize the arbitrary distribution of supply chain profits within a certain range. Finally, the change of decision variables and expected utility or profit with contract parameters is analyzed by several numerical examples.
Researchers in the past have established the newsvendor model with rarely considering trade credit. In practices, the supplier usually provides the retailer a permissible delay in payments to stimulate more order quantity. As a result, we try to establish an inventory model for stochastic demand, in which the supplier provides trade credit to the retailer if the order quantity is greater than or equal to a predetermined quantity. The residual or shortage at the end of the cycle is dealt as the newsvendor problem. Two useful theorems to determine the optimal order quantity are derived. Several numerical examples are provided to illustrate the results. The sensitivity analysis on main parameters is presented.
China has a long history of overseas migration, and Southeast Asia has been the traditional main destination of our overseas migration because of its geographical advantage. In the context of the global spread of the Huayu, it is of great significance to explore the evolutionary process of Huayu development in Southeast Asia as a relay station for the spread and radiation of the Huayu to the world. The overall situation of Huayu studies is that there are more lexical studies and less grammatical studies, and less attention has been paid to the development of Huayu in its historical plane, including its formation process and the facts of its development and evolution since then. It can be seen that the overall research is not balanced, and grammar itself is very important. Due to the lack of grammar research, the overall understanding of Huayu has been affected. The study of Huayu has developed rapidly, and various studies are being carried out. Relatively speaking, grammar is lagging behind and needs to catch up quickly. The article takes the phenomenon of degree adverb modifying nouns as an entry point to investigate the development and evolution of grammar in Southeast Asia Huayu. It is found that degree adverbs modifying nouns have shown an upward trend in the centuries-old Huayu, as evidenced by the fact that degree adverbs can be combined with more abstract nouns and the range of nouns modified has also been expanded. In addition, investigating the use of this linguistic phenomenon in Huayu, Putonghua, and Mandarin in a global perspective, it can be found that the three maintain a greater consistency.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
