RESUMOA maioria dos estudos em Burnout tem priorizado a utilização de métodos e técnicas que definem a priori seus parâmetros de avaliação. Como uma alternativa a essa tendência, o presente artigo apresentará a perspectiva narrativa como um método que permite à pessoa a livre expressão de sua experiência de adoecimento. Essa ferramenta pode ampliar a compreensão teórica do fenômeno, tradicionalmente abordado pelas seguintes perspectivas: clínica; sócio-histórica e contextual; sociopsicológica; e trajetória de carreira. Após a descrição dessas abordagens, será apresentada a perspectiva narrativa -fornecendo uma visão do Burnout enquanto processo, pois o fluxo narrativo conecta e situa temporalmente elementos tradicionalmente referidos como exteriores (variáveis culturais e laborais) e interiores (valores e significados), superando dicotomias. Esses elementos potencialmente integrados em uma narrativa podem contribuir para a realização do diagnóstico diferencial da síndrome e para o aprimoramento das intervenções clínicas. Como alternativa a esta tendencia, este documento presentará la perspectiva narrativa como un método que permite a la persona a libre expresión de su experiencia de enfermedad. Esta herramienta puede ampliar la comprensión teórica del fenómeno, tradicionalmente abordado por las siguientes perspectivas: clínico; sociohistórica y contextual; sociopsicológica; y trayectoria profesional. Después de la descripción de estos enfoques se presentará la perspectiva narrativa -que proporciona una visión de Burnout como un proceso, debido a que el flujo narrativo y temporalmente situado conecta los elementos que tradicionalmente se conocen como externos (variables culturales y laborales) e interiores (valores y significados), superando dicotomías. Estos elementos potencialmente integrados en una narración pueden contribuir para la realización del diagnóstico diferencial del síndrome y para la mejora de las intervenciones clínicas. The cinematographic experience is a multistable field, which brings time, being space a perceptual illusion. How does the spectator complete a Gestalt of a film without conversational dialogue, but keeping the tonal (a probable story) and expositive (a probable context) dialogue? Twenty six undergrad students of psychology watched an exhibition of a short motion picture called “i”, directed by Paulo Zaracla. They were asked to write a reaction report, following the presentation. The obtained reports were considered as an expression of the film’s message and analyzed through out the triadic criteria of the semiotic phenomenology (description, reduction and interpretation). The description defined the diachronic relations and the synchronic correlations within and between reports as situation, feelings, resolution, and voice of enunciation. The reduction specified the reports as literary genres, chosen as context of expression (short prose, essay or chronicle). The interpretation suspended the reports’ suggestive and existential thematic to concentrate in the psychophysical and psychological streams through out Gestalt formation, a negotiation between spectator’s perception and expression. The use of ambiguous figure as a demonstration of a multistable field is a way to exacerbate the everyday relation between procedural cognitive modes of Gestalt formation as demonstrated by the cinematic experience.
