This article presents the results obtained in the evaluation of the LoRa technology as an alternative communication protocol for agricultural applications, by making measurements in situ in a rural area between the municipalities of Sibaté and Granada in Cundinamarca, Colombia. The device for testing was selected using a document search, thus choosing the TTGO esp32 board. Additionally, a temperature sensor and a variable resistance were included to obtain measurements from a transmitter node whose data was sent using the LoRa protocol to a receiver node with a distance of 500 meters between them and an approximate elevation gradient of 4° difference between the points. Finally, the information collected in the tests was subjected to a descriptive statistical analysis that allowed establishing the most reliable parameters of the protocol and identifying the appropriate spreading factor and bandwidth.
Digital Transformation is a concept that is part of Industry 4.0 and consists of adapting the organization to new information technologies, affecting all areas, encouraging them to be more interconnected with their customers. For higher education institutions it is known as University 4.1 to name the automation of both management and training processes. The following article aims to show a matrix methodology to establish strategies that will allow the corporate digital transformation to evolve. The article shows a case study where the matrix methodology was implemented, obtaining quantifiable variables that serve as the basis for the digital transformation of the San José Higher Education Foundation in Colombia as a second phase.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
