Transferring or adapting a literature into a film is called an ecranization process. Ecranization is a process of adapting or transforming a novel into a film. Ecranization process creates differences between the novel and the film adaptation. Because the whole stories in the novel cannot be found exactly the same as in the film. These differences appear because of several aspects in ecranization process, which are decreasing, increasing, and variational changing. All events that exist in the novel will run into many changes especially in plot. This matter was found also in ecranization of novel Dschugelkind by Sabine Kuegler into Film Dschungelkind by Roland Suso Richter, the object of this research. The plot was selected because it is the most important element in telling the story. In plot, there are two category events: major events (kernels) that cannot be deleted and minor events (satellites) that can be deleted as do not affect the story. This research compares plot in both works and find same events run into elements of decreasing, increasing, and variational changing.

One of the data used as a benchmark for determining the progress of a university can be seen from the productivity of research and community service. The research objectives are to (1) analyze Unesa lecturer research based on the distribution of faculties/departments/study programs; (2) analyzing trends in the research focus of Unesa lecturers; (3) analyzing the achievement of Unesa lecturer research outcomes compared with the target research outcomes; and (4) analyzing the profile of the service to the Unesa lecturer community based on the distribution of faculties/departments/study programs. The reference used in analyzing is from 2015-2019. The development model used is the Waterfall model with a linear development system. The research subject used was the procedure of developing Sistem Informasi Riset dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (SIRIP) in Higher Education. Data analysis techniques were carried out in three stages, namely pre-development, development, and post-development. Based on the results and discussion, the conclusions in this study are as follows. The results of the trial of Sistem Informasi Riset dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (SIRIP) using the black box testing method in accordance with 18 functional requirements of the system can run successfully. The profile of research in Unesa from 2015-2019 experienced a significant increase and decrease (fluctuation). The number of research titles funded from 2015-2019 was as many as 250 titles, 585 titles, 700 titles, 480 titles, and 447 titles. Meanwhile, the number of community service titles funded from 2015-2019 was 46 titles, 51 titles, 29 titles, 22 titles, and 338 titles, respectively.
Writing is a complex and challenging language skill because writing involves cognitive, affective, and creative elements. Rich vocabulary, understanding of grammatical features, and other aspects of writing also really determine someone's success in writing. Writing skills must be taught in foreign language learning because through writing skills, students can express emotions, thoughts, desires, and events with appropriate symbols. One approach that can help students improve their writing skills is the genre-based approach. Through this approach, students learn to write using specific text genres, such as recount text. Recount text is a type of text that tells the past. This study recounts text because students had just learned one of the past tenses in German, namely preterite. By using a genre-based approach in the study, it was found that students were able to 1) Improve their ability to identify characteristics and differences between several types of recount text; 2) Pay more attention to the text's structural elements and language style in the process of reading and writing; 3) Find essential information in the text according to the elements of the genre; 4) Increase self-confidence in writing.
