The genus Symbiopsocus is reviewed and S. furcatus sp. n., is described from China. The biogeography of 10 Chinese species is discussed briefly, and a distribution map provided. An updated key to the 13 world species is presented.
Symbiopsocus yangminus sp. n. is described based on specimens collected from Taiwan, China. We provide an updated checklist and comprehensive geographic distribution of Symbiopsocus, including species from China described in Mecampsis. The genus Symbiopsocus now comprises 20 species from mainland China, two species from Taiwan and one species from Japan. Updated keys to males and females of species from China are provided.
Two new species of Diptera, Eoptychopterina postica sp. nov. in Ptychopteridae and Eotrichocera (Archaeotrichocera) spatiosa sp. nov. in Trichoceridae are described and illustrated from the Middle Jurassic Jiulongshan Formation of Daohugou in eastern Inner Mongolia, China. These two new species are established based on fossil specimens with bodies and complete wings.
Atrichadenotecnum multispinosus sp. n. is described from southwestern China. Psocomesites and Clematostigma from China are discussed, with five species transferred to Atrichadenotecnum and four species placed as new synonyms. Keys to adult males and females of Atrichadenotecnum species are presented.
