Portions of the trajectory of the Vertical Balloon, AMR Test 6210, were monitored with the Madre radar from Chesapeake Bay Annex. Detection was accomplished via direct look.Post flight position data from AMR and the Madre data from the trajectory were combined to confirm the vertical pattern of the Madre antenna.

AUTHDRIZATION
ABSTRACT[Secret]The four-stage Trailblazer Ha was launched from Wallops Island for the purpose of studying phenomena associated with the high speed reentry bodies. The Madre radar observed portions of the -trajectories of all f o u r stages. The first stage was observed throughout the most of its flight. The second stage was observed on the way up until it left the antenna pattern and again on the way down when it reappeared in the antenna pattern. The other two stages were observed just prior to and during reentry.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
