The technological tools are part of our life, the activities we do daily are present. The purpose is to investigate whether the evaluation carried out by the Socrative application in combination with the use of mobile devices impacts the achievement of competencies. At the same time, we analyze pedagogical and technical aspects of software, its effect on collaborative and meaningful learning, using data obtained by an instrument applied to students of Communication Technologies and Information Management. The research is quantitative, centered on a Quasi-experimental design and a correlational study. The results show that the majority of the students 88.42% considered their educational evaluation with the application as approval, qualifying it from Excellent (48.42%) to Very Good (40%). The results support the advantage of using Socrative as an evaluation and learning tool.
