Magnetostatic wave coupled straight edge resonators have been experimentally tested by means of a waveguide ferromagnetic resonance experiment to check their potential as microwave coupled filters. Few dB ripples and tens of MHi bandwidths have been obtained for configurations in the range jY4-to X-coupling.
An analysis of the signal reflections originating at the garnet film ends and of the triple transit between the microstrip transducers in magnetostatic volume wave delay lines has been performed. The influence of those effects on the band shape and on the insertion loss of magnetostatic wave devices has been inferred and compared with experimental results. In this framework, the possible utilization of the reflections for filterbank applications is also proposed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
