Dalegan Village of Gresik District, East Java, is a large Legen / neera and Palmyra fruit producing village. During this time legen siwalan was sold in the form of natural drinks. The problem faced by partners at this time is this Palmyra fruit spoils relatively quick so it doesn’t have high selling value. A technology is needed in the form fermentation to produce Nata de Legen using Acetobacter xylinum. Training method used were in form of lectures, demonstrations, discussions, direct practice, independent tasks, evaluation and marketing trials. The training was conducted in 3 groups consisting of 10 Local Welfare Organization (PKK) members and 5 Youth Organization members. The expected output target at the end of the program is that all participants succeeded in making the starter and Nata de Legen correctly. Participants also managed to whiten and soften raw Nata, which then made into end-products in the form of fruit-flavored Nata de Legen drinks (honeydew, strawberry, orange and cocopandan) and desserts in form of jelly and pudding packed in cup and bulk with the selling price calculated accordingly to Nata de Legen entrepreneurial training.
Applications of pesticides on crop land have been used by soybean land farmer in Jombang, Lamongan and Probolinggo in order to control pest. Pesticide application of soybean land influence physic and chemistry soil, against growth of plant furthermore. This study aimed to identify soil physic and chemistry characteristic on pesticide application of soybean land. This study used sampling purposive method on soybean land in Jombang, Lamongan and Probolinggo District. The data were taken by purposive on pesticide application between pre and post soybean cultivation. Parameters included of soil physic (soil mass, soil porosity, water level, soil texture and determination of soil class), soil chemistry (composition of C-Organic, Total of N, Ratio C/N, P and organic matter). The data were analyzed quantitative and qualitative descriptive. Data analysis showed pesticide application of soybean land in Jombang, Lamongan and Probolinggo included intermediate category with composition 1,19-1,25 g cm -3 and contain of particle type were 2,30-2,38 g cm -3 , soil porosity accord to ideal land criteria 46,08-49,30%, water level were higher than free capacity limit (0,33 pF) with classification water available, soil texture on T2 class were slightly smooth, at every location C-Organic compositions included low category (0,58-0,94%), low total of N (0,09-0,15%), C/N ratio in low category up to 6-9, P total were varied, from low (J3 dan J2) were 11,90 mgkg -1 and 11,94 mgkg -1 , intermediate (J1, L3, P2 dan P3) up to 19,72-22,59 mgkg -1 , another three locations L1, L2, and P1 included of high category, were 36,82-38,48 mgkg -1 . Miskonsepsi adalah perbedaan konsep yang dimiliki siswa dengan konsep yang telah disepakati oleh para ahli. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) Mendeskripsikan profil miskonsepsi pada submateri struktur dan fungsi sel (2) Mendeskripsikan faktor penyebab terjadinya miskonsepsi pada submateri struktur dan fungsi sel. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan tes diagnostik Four tier test dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu 70 siswa kelas XI MIPA MAN 1 Mojokerto dan guru biologi. Dari keseluruhan data memberikan hasil bahwa nilai rata-rata miskonsepsi pada submateri struktur dan fungsi sel sebesar 48,6%, paham konsep sebesar 15,2% dan belum paham konsep sebesar 36,2%. Faktor penyebab miskonsepsi dapat dibedakan menjadi 6 faktor, yaitu pengetahuan siswa, guru, buku teks, media pembelajaran, cara mengajar dan konteks. Bakteri proteolitik merupakan bakteri yang mampu menghidrolisis protein menjadi asam amino yang lebih sederhana. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan aktivitas proteolitik dan enzim protease dari isolat bakteri yang diisolasi dan dikarakterisasi dari rhizosphere tanaman kedelai (Glycine max. L) di lahan pertanian Trenggalek, Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Bakteri rhizosphere diisolasi dari tanah pertanian yang ditanami kedelai di Trenggalek, Jawa Timur. Bakteri yang diperoleh diuji aktivitas proteolitik dengan menggunakan media selektif Skim Milk Agar (SMA). Bakteri yang memiliki aktivitas proteolitik ditandai dengan adanya zona bening (halo zone) yang terbentuk disekitar koloni. Uji aktivitas enzim protease dilakukan pada tiga isolat yang membentuk zona bening terbesar dengan cara menginkubasi bakteri penghasil enzim protease pada media selektif Skim Milk Broth (SMB) setiap 0, 4, 24, 48, 72 jam. Aktivitas enzim protease di ukur menggunakan spektrofotometer pada panjang gelombang 660 nm. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh 7 isolat bakteri yang memiliki kemampuan dalam menghasilkan aktivitas proteolitik berupa terbentuknya zona bening disekitar koloni. Ke 7 isolat tersebut di karakterisasi secara makroskopis dan mikroskopis dengan hasil gram negatif, dan berbentuk basil. Indeks proteolitik pada 3 isolat dengan zona bening terbesar diperoleh dari hasil indeks proteolitik terbesar pada isolat IRK1 sebesar 2,54; IRK4 sebesar 1,77 dan IRK7 sebesar 1,80. Aktivitas enzim protease dari ketiga isolat IRK1, IRK4, dan IRK7 secara berurutan diperoleh hasil optimum pada inkubasi 24 jam sebesar 5,97 U/mL, 5,43 U/mL, dan 4,56 U/mL.
