This article was written as a note in responding to the mainstreaming of religious moderation in Indonesia by examining the dynamics and challenges in the midst of social change in the digital era. This research used literature study. The findings of this research showed that religious expressions shown by adherents of religions cannot be avoided from the tendency to come into contact with digital technology. Religious people, in turn, come into contact with contradictory of digital cultures that give rise to fragmentation and contestation. Moderation campaigns in the digital space to sow messages of peace between religions are now faced with the phenomenon of religious disruption, especially in the digital space. This phenomenon clearly has social implications for social harmony because the scale does not only occur at the internal level of religious communities but also between religious communities. This study recommends revitalizing digital literacy the idea of religious moderation as a process of forming awareness of religious moderation in Indonesian society in the era of digital society.
The purpose in this study is 1) to know the effect of accountability on the awareness of muzakki paying zakat. 2) To know the effect of the quality of service on the quality of service affects the awareness of muzakki paying zakat. 3) To know the effect of the quality of service moderating the effect of ability on the awareness of musakki paying zakat Data analysis techniques using the Partial Least Squart (PLS) based Structure Equation Model (SEM) method of SmartPls software version 3 for windows. The result of accountability is affected by the awareness of muzakki paying zakat the better and the better the quality of service will increase the awareness of muzakki in paying zakat to the zakat management institution. For management of zakat institution is always pay attention to the accountability of zakat management because it has a significant effect on the awareness of paying zakat, for researchers who want to continue this research to pay attention to variables and populations in this study in order to be developed.
Background Neglected dislocation of the elbow is associated with instability, pain, and limitation of elbow function. In developing countries, neglected dislocations of the elbow are quite common, and most patients initially go to local bonesetters, which only aggravates the problem. Presentation of case Two patients with a history of unreduced posterior elbow dislocation for more than 1 year and were treated by a traditional bonesetter were included in this case study. The first case was a 65-year-old female with a history of injury around her right elbow around 12 months before admission. The patient underwent open reduction with triceps lengthening and immobilization with plaster of paris for 3 weeks. The second case was a 53-year-old male with a history of injury caused by a fall on an outstretched hand around 18 months before admission. The patient underwent arthrolysis followed by triceps lengthening, internal fixation with transarticular k-wire, and immobilization with elbow slab for 3 weeks. Discussion To optimize treatment goals and patient function, various surgical approaches have been described for treating chronic elbow dislocations. The benefit of the V—Y triceps lengthening is to simplify the reduction procedure, especially in the elbow dislocations with greater chronicity. The downside of the V—Y lengthening is possible triceps weakness, delayed physiotherapy, and increased postsurgical pain. On the basis of this study, open reduction should remain a treatment option for patients regardless of age and chronicity of injury. Conclusion Operative treatment of late-presenting, unreduced elbow dislocation is effective in restoring the joint to a painless, stable, and functional limb.
Objectives: Supracondylar fractures of the elbow are common in children and percutaneous pinning usually advocated as a treatment for this kind of fracture. However, the treatment is often delayed in areas where healthcare resources are limited. The objective of this retrospective study was to assess functional outcomes after delayed treatment of supracondylar elbow fractures in children. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical charts of 38 children aged 2 to 15 years in whom surgery for extension-type supracondylar elbow fractures was delayed by more than 1 week. The 22 boys and 16 girls with a mean age of 5 years 3 months had severe fracture displacement (12 stages III and 26 stage IV according to Lagrange and Rigault classification scheme). The mean time to treatment was 7 days (range: 1-4 weeks). Open reduction and crossed K-wire fixation via the posterior approach were performed in all patients. Functional outcomes were evaluated using Flynn’s criteria. Results: Outcomes were satisfactory in 31 (81,5%) of patients. At last follow-up after a mean of 3 months, three (7,8%) patients had limited in elbow motion. No case of compartment syndrome, surgical site infection and re-operation. Conclusion: Despite an average time to surgery of 16 days, the outcome was satisfactory in (81,5%) of cases. Delayed treatment was not associated with an increased rate of postoperative complications.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
