The building has deferred the maintenance activities either planned or scheduled and delayed from the original schedules by some factors and therefore cause dissatisfaction of the building users commonly become a familiar issue. The public university buildings are an important place, everyone gathers to learn and share knowledge. They are producing future leaders, engineers and industry players. Therefore, it is also the heart of the development of a country. Hence, this study is intended to establish a group of causes factors of deferred maintenance of public university buildings in Malaysia. Questionnaires survey were carried out amongst the targeted respondent and the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software were used to analyse 220 data collections for factor analysis. The study reveals 42 factors of causes are then classified into three groups. Group 1 is the organization and it displays 20 factors, group 2 is the resources which display 13 factors and group 3 is financial display 9 factors. This study shared useful information and insight knowledge of deferred maintenance of public university buildings in Malaysia.
The study evaluated the composition and amino acids profile of trash fish meal (TFM) processed using Probio_FM probiotics (containing Lactobacillus sp.) combined with coconut meal (CM) or palm kernel meal (PKM) as prebiotics sources. The study was arranged in 2×3 factorial design with four replications. The first factor was the prebiotic sources (CM and PKM) and the second factor was the Probio_FM levels (0, 1 and 2%). The TFM was processed by mixing trash fish with CM or PKM and Probio_FM, then it was milled and dried. The TFM processed using CM or PKM combined with 1 - 2% Probio_FM contained 43.77 - 45.81% crude protein. Most essential amino acids, except methionine, were inferior compared to the NRC 1994 table. Arginine, valine and tryptophan was the first, second and third limiting amino acid in TFM, respectively. The chemical score of TFM ranged from 20 to 28%. Combination of PKM with 2% Probio_FM resulted the highest crude protein (45.81%), methionine (2.15%) and chemical score (28%). It was concluded that the TFM processed using PKM combined with 2% Probio_FM had a potential to be used as a source of protein and methionine as well as a source of probiotics.
Road construction and upgrading projects are currently being intensively implemented in West Sumatra, and this is very important in increasing the competitiveness of the Indonesian economy. During the construction period, it will give a positive impression to be able to reduce transportation costs, use value and labour productivity. In this case, a project manager will play an important role in the success of the project. There are some opinions that a project manager will determine the likelihood of a project success, even though their projects often facing big problems. In this paper, the focus is on determining the competency component of the Road Project Manager in West Sumatra in implementing the Project Management concept that leads to project success. Based on this and in accordance with this study, the approach used in data collection and processing is a qualitative. The results of the factor analysis are shown to the experts, to establish that all of these factors are important in developing the success of the project managed by the Project Manager. The results of the factor analysis obtained 65 combined factors what has been validated by experts. In conclusion, all these factors are important in determining the performance of a Project Manager in West Sumatra.
