Dairy sector plays a critical role in growth of rural India by providing livelihoodopportunities to millions of people. The present study was conducted in Zone-I and ZoneII of the Haryana state. District Kaithal and Karnal were selected from Zone I whereasSirsa and Hisar districts represented Zone II to study the investment and resource usepattern followed by the dairy farmers. To achieve the objective the primary data from the200 sampled dairy farms (divided into three categories i.e. small, medium and large herdsize of milch animals) were collected through survey method. The study revealed that thetotal investment per milch animal per day in small, medium and large herd size group wasRs.175.50, 178.40 and 181.80, respectively, in Zone-I and Rs.170.08, 174.30 and 175.86,respectively, in Zone-II. From total investment, major proportion was covered byinvestment on feed and fodder, followed by concentrates and labours in both the Zones. Itmay be suggested that providing feed concentrates and high yielding seeds of green foddercrops at cheaper rates and credit facility should be strengthened.
India contributes the largest to the world milk production. The main objective of the study is to investigate the different technologies adopted by dairy farmers in Haryana. Primary data was collected from 200 dairy farmers from different places in Haryana state. The study was conducted in Haryana study revealed that among all the good dairy practices animal health practices was followed by majority of the dairy farmers and the corresponding mean value was 1.75 and the rank was 1st, followed by management practices (corresponding mean value 2.02 and rank 2nd), hygiene milking practices (corresponding mean value 2.12 and rank 3rd), animal wellbeing (corresponding mean value 2.23 and rank 4th), nutrition (corresponding mean value 2.56 and rank 5th), and environment practices with corresponding mean value 2.57, were least preferred or we may say least adopted by dairy farmers hence environment practices was given rank 6th.Poor animal health is one of the principal constraints to increasing small-scale dairy productivity, as it results in high morbidity and low production. Overcoming this constraint could significantly improve productivity and results in real and direct benefits for producers. The IBM SPSS22 software was used to calculate the mean score of the statements based on Likert 5-point scale.This study gives us an idea about how we start a dairy farm and what management practices should be adopted.

The outlook and approach for willingness headed for organic food among consumers is undoubtedly on the increase. Suprapto and Wijaya (2012) documented that healthy eating is a good predictor to convince the purchasing intent for organic food. Krissoff (1998) have established that customers like to purchase organic products for the reason that such produce are safe, healthy and environmentally affable.Organic products are nothing but the produce grown from beginning to end by means of environment agreeable modus operandi i.e. devoid of pesticides, exclusive of chemical treatments, free from genetically modified organism, purely and naturally processed. These products should encompass organic certificates by the recognized regulatory authority. According to Makatouni (2002) product quality embracing nutritive worth, savour, cleanness, freshness, appearance plus other sensory features control the preferences of end users for organic food products.
