Today's packaging for pharmaceutics provides no information about individual medicine intake neither remind when forgotten or alert when medicine runs empty. We developed three smart packages for those examples with graphics e-paper driven by a microcontroller with Bluetooth LE and a smartphone app. The evaluation with subjects was very positive.

Autonomous cars should visualize its status like “autonomous mode” for the following car. But also at pedestrian crossings an icon “pedestrian identified” is helpful. We have developed a model car with two RGB LED matrix displays including sensors and cloud computing and evaluated successfully text, icons and animations.
