The present study aimed to identify, describe and analyze the achievement goals of 207 high school students in a city in São Paulo state. The instruments were the Characterization Questionnaire and Achievement Goals Questionnaire. The results indicate a major tendency to adopt the mastery-approach goal, where the student engages the activity with the purpose of developing their skills. The second more adopted goal was performance-avoidance goal, in which students tend to want to show their skills to others not to appear incompetent for them. These results above may be related to a great intension of students in completing the high school and enter the University, results also found in this study. Comprehend Achievement Goals can contribute to understanding the quality of motivation that the students apply in their activities.
A questão sobre o abuso de drogas tem manifestado a urgência por medidas que fomentem o tratamento sobre a mesma. O presente relato de experiência profissional procurou apresentar uma proposta de intervenção em que a prática esportiva foi utilizada como importante instrumento no processo de tratamento para pessoas com dependência de álcool e outras drogas. Foi percebido que a prática esportiva colaborou para o desenvolvimento dos recursos internos dos participantes, atuando como medida para o fortalecimento psicossocial dos usuários por meio do desenvolvimento da autoestima, perseverança, disciplina, superação, dentre outros.
The sensible and conflicting scenario of the pandemic postulated many challenges to societies around the world in 2020. Part of this problem refers to how the differences between politics and science are not comprehended in their particularities. The recognition of limits and power of science and politics can not only contribute to reaching the actions and strategies facing novel coronavirus but also optimized many domains of societies post-pandemic.
