The natural ingredient of clove oil can be used for fish anesthesia because it contains eugenol metabolite compounds. The study aims was to determine the effect of clove oil in induction and recovery time, survival and optimum dose for the anesthesia process of Nilem fish. The randomized trial design was complete with four treatments and four tests. Treatment dose 0.05; 0,10; 0,15; 0.20 mL/L is applied. The fastest induction time process at the 0.20 mL/L treatment, while the recovery time at the 0.05 mL/L treatment and 100% survival at the 0.10 mL/L treatment.
Salah satu masalah yang timbul pada usaha pembenihan Ikan tawes (Barbonimus gonionotus) adalah rendahnya fertilisasi sperma yang disebabkan oleh rendahnya motilitas dan viabilitas sperma. Upaya untuk mengatasi hal tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan larutan NaCl Fisiologis dan madu yang dapat mendukung motilitas dan viabilitas spermatozoa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh penambahan madu pada media pembuahan telur ikan tawes terhadap fertilitas, daya tetas telur dan sintasan larva ikan tawes. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen laboratorium dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu media pembuahan 100 ml Air (P0); 100 mL NaCl (P1); penambahan 0,2 ml madu + 99,8 mL NaCl fisiologis (P2); penambahan 0,4 mL madu + 99,6 mL NaCl fisiologis (P3); dan penambahan 0,6 mL madu + 99,4 mL NaCl fisiologis (P4). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penambahan 0,6 mL + 99,4 mL NaCl fisiologis (P4) menunjukan hasil yang tertinggi, dengan nilai fertilitas 56.51±0.57%, daya tetas 54.58±1.07% dan sintasan 71.34±0.68%. Kualitas air dengan kisaran nilai suhu 27.8-28.3°C, pH 7, dan oksigen terlarut 5.8-6.5 mg/L.
The purpose of this research was to determine the quality of spermatozoa of Nilem Fish (Osteochillus hasselti) after storage in extender palm juice, milk and egg yolk with different dilution ratios. The treatment given was in the form of different dilution ratios between sperm and extender palm juice, milk and egg yolk, namely P1: dilution ratio 1:10, P2: dilution ratio 1:15 and P3: dilution ratio 1:20. The data obtained were analyzed by means of variance (ANOVA). Data that showed a significant effect were continued with further Duncan testing. The results showed that the treatment had a significant effect on motility and viability, but did not have a significant effect on fertility and hatchability.
Red cherry ornamental shrimp have the advantage of their bright red body color and are popularly used to beautify the contents of the aquarium. Market demand for red cherry ornamental shrimp continues to increase both online and offline. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of closed system transportation time and the best time on the survival of red cherry ornamental shrimp after transportation and maintenance for 3 days. The method used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments given were P1 1 day (24 hours), P2 2 days (48 hours), P3 3 days (72 hours), P4 4 days (96 hours), and P5 5 days (120 hours). The shrimp used are 1.8 – 2.4 cm long and weigh 0.072 – 0.24 grams. The transportation simulation given is a shock simulation every 2 hours for 15 minutes. The results obtained showed that the closed system transportation time had a significant effect on the survival of the red cherry ornamental shrimp after transportation, but did not significantly affect the survival after 3 days of rearing. The best transportation time for the survival of red cherry ornamental shrimp after transportation was 1 day (24 hours) and 2 days (48 hours) with 96% and 91.67% survival respectively
Ikan guppy HB Gold (Poecilia reticulata) merupakan salah satu strain guppy yang mudah untuk dibudidayakan serta memiliki permintaan yang tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menambah wawasan tentang cara budidaya ikan guppy HB Gold (Poecilia reticulata) skala rumah tangga dengan substrat dasar yang berbeda, dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat diaplikasikan oleh masyarakat umum untuk memulai usaha perikanan dengan modal kecil. Metode yang digunakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 2 ulangan. Hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif serta di bandingkan dengan literatur terdahulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua perlakuan mampu menghasilkan benih ikan dan tumbuh dengan baik. Dimana P1A menetaskan 27 larva; P2A 0 larva; P3A 26 larva, sedangkan pada P1B dan P2B masing-masing 4 larva dan P3B sebanyak 21 larva. Parameter kualitas air diperoleh suhu akuarium pemijahan dan pembesaran antara 25-26°C, dan pH antarar 6,5-8. Maka dari itu dapat diketahui bahwa budidaya ikan guppy skala rumah tangga dapat diterapkan.
