RESUMOAs transformações ocorridas no âmbito da economia mundial, e mais especificamente no Brasil, apontam para a necessidade de uma formação de mão-de-obra flexível e adequadamente preparada para atender as demandas do capital, o que contribui também para a exclusão dos indivíduos das classes populares, carentes de formação integral que possibilite a compreensão do processo produtivo, bem como a participação política. O presente estudo tem por objetivo identificar e delinear o perfil socioeconômico dos alunos que ingressam na rede federal de educação profissional em Rondônia, analisando as condições de acesso a partir de uma perspectiva inclusiva. O objeto de estudo abrange os discentes dos anos letivos 2009 do IFRO, Campus Ji-Paraná -RO, a pesquisa é de natureza teórico-empírica e a metodologia de caráter bibliográfico, documental, e exploratório. Os resultados visam a contribuir para a avaliação e melhoria da educação profissional na região entendida como instrumento político-pedagógico de inclusão social. PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION AND THE DISCOURSE OF SOCIAL INCLUSION IN RONDÔNIA: A STUDY OF CASE ABSTRACTThe transformations occurred in the worldly economy, more precisely in Brazil, points to the necessity of a workers formation that are both flexible and adequately prepared to attend the demands of the capital which contributes also to the exclusion of people from the poor class, needy of an integral formation that may enable them to understand the productive process as well as to participate in the political decisions. The Professional Education affirms itself as an educative program implanted with a new meaning by the law 9.394/96, LDBEN and by the decree 5.154/2004, articulating the initial education of human characteristics to the scientific and technological formation. This study intends to identify and delineates the socio-economic profile of students which ingress in the schools of professional education in Rondônia by the analysis of their conditions of access in an inclusive perspective. The object of study involves students of the year 2009 of the IFRO, Campus Ji-Paraná. The research is of a theorist and empirical nature, the methodology is bibliographic, documental and exploratory. The results aims to contribute to the evaluation and betterment of the professional education in the region understood as politicalpedagogic strategy of social inclusion.
