This study aims to describe the symbols and geometry that exist in the traditional house of the Lio tribe of Wolokoli Village, Wolowaru District, Ende Regency in ethnomathematics perspective in terms of mathematical concepts. This type of research is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The subjects of this study consisted of several informants (chiefs, village heads, teachers and students). Using observation and interview techniques, and using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed the existence of symbol shapes and geometry in the building of traditional houses of the Lio tribe of Wolokoli Village, Wolowaru District, Ende Regency. Other symbolic forms include leke (foundation pillars made of stone and wood), there are twenty oval-shaped stone pillars and one rectangular wooden pole, Tenga (lante beam) in the form of a tube. Dalo is rectangular in shape. Rectangular lure. Wisu (four main pillars) shaped beam. Kebi (wall) is rectangular in shape. Mangu (nok pole) shaped beam. Block shaped jara. Pene / Pere is rectangular in shape. Eba beams. Lara is a block. Hubu (roof) is made of trapezoid-shaped reeds. Form symbols and geometrical structures that exist in the traditional Lio Tribe of Wolokoli Village, namely lines, angles, squares, rectangles, triangles, trapezoid, parallelogram, triangles, hexagons, beams, tubes, and triangular prisms. The shape in these parts of the house can change the paradigm of children and society that mathematics has a relationship with daily activities and relationships with culture and can be learned in a fun way in solving problems of learning geometry material.
This study aims to (1). To find out the process of learning mathematics during the Covid-19 pandemic. (2). To find out what the headmaster was doing in learning mathematical during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The research method used is using descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques used interview techniques and documentation. The subject in this research is the principal, mathematics teacher and four students who are randomly selected. The results obtained from this study indicate (1). The process of learning mathematics during the Covid-19 pandemic described modules or material summaries and assigning assignments to student. (2). To see what the headmaster did in learning mathematical during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus suggested that teachers should able to prepare the material properly so that students do not get bored with online learning. Students must take advantage of their free time to always explore the material that the teacher has distributed. For subsequent researchers who conduct research related similar, we use a broader subject.
In the world of education, teachers rarely associate daily life (traditional games) with mathematical material. Traditional games are one of the media that can be used in learning. This research aims to find out the mathematical concepts contained in the game. This research uses ethnographic research. The subjects in this study were 3 people who played marbles games. The instrument of this study is the documentation and diaries used by researchers at the time of observation. The research location is Ende Selatan Subdistrict, Boa'nawa Village. Data collection techniques use observation data directly to the players marbles. The results showed that there were mathematical aspects in the game of marbles, namely the introduction of the concept of addition, the concept of subtraction, the instroduction of the concept of distance, the concept of a flat wake. These concepts are used as learning media aids.
