In this study, exfoliated g-C3N4/NiO nanocomposites were synthesized by the heat treatment of urea and subsequent ultrasonic exfoliation of the colloidal solution with the introduction of nickel acetate. Ultrafine nanocomposites...
A simple solution combustion approach followed by heat treatment was used to successfully synthesize a novel h-YbFeO3/o-YbFeO3 nanocrystalline heterojunction with an enhanced photo-Fenton-like activity in the decolorization process of methyl violet.
In this research, the formation process of nanocrystalline terbium orthoferrite (TbFeO 3) obtained via a solution combustion technique was studied using powder X-ray diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy, 57 Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy, N 2 adsorption analysis, and FTIR spectroscopy. It was shown that glycine-nitrate combustion method permits one to obtain TbFeO 3 of three different modifications: orthorhombic o-TbFeO 3 (Pbnm), hexagonal h-TbFeO 3 (P6 3 /mmc) and amorphous am-TbFeO 3. It was found that the average crystallite sizes of orthorhombic and hexagonal TbFeO 3 were 29±3 and 15±2 nm, respectively. The formation mechanism of different structural forms of terbium orthoferrite was investigated on the basis of nanopowders morphology, specific surface areas, average pore sizes, and crystallite sizes.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
