The prevalence of dysmenorrhea is 90% in adolescent girls, which is caused by the presence of prostaglandins that trigger pain. Dysmenorrhea is directly related to quality of life. Herbal is one method that is considered safe because it does not provide side effects and dependence. Dragon fruit skin contains substances that function to flex blood vessels, so that blood flow can directly have an impact on reducing pain during menstruation. In addition, increased levels of magnesium in the body can help smooth muscle relaxation and vasodilation of blood vessels. Coconut water is rich in calcium so it is considered capable of dealing with dysmenorrhea. The formulation of the problem is whether a mixture of dragon fruit peel and green coconut water is effective in treating dysmenorrhea? The purpose of the study was to analyze the difference in light intensity before and before using a drink mixed with dragon fruit peel and green coconut water. The research method used a quasi-experimental design and the use of pretest-posttest control group design techniques. The number of samples was 32 people who were divided into 2 groups. Instruments to measure dysmenorrhea using the VAS (Visual Analogue Scale) instrument. The analysis uses paired T if the data distribution is normal and if the distribution is not normal, then the Wilcoxon test is used. The results of the Mann Whitney test show that the P-Value value of 0.000 is smaller or <0.05. The conclusion is that there is a significant difference between the results of the level of dysmenorrhea pain in the Intervention Group with the consumption of a mixture of dragon fruit peel jelly and green coconut and the Control Group with the provision of relaxation techniques.
