Multiprofessional Residencies were created with the aim of qualifying professionals to act in accordance with the Unified Health System. Thus, the objective of this article is to report on the potential and challenges of the Multiprofessional Residency Program for the training of nurses working in Primary Care. This is a descriptive study that comes from an experience report of resident nurses from the Multiprofessional Residency Program in Family and Community Health (RMSFC) of the State University of Piauí, the result of a process of experiences and critical reflections on pedagogical practices, assistance and health education offered in Basic Health Units, in the municipality of Teresina, Piauí. The RMSFC consists of modules, multiprofessional extension projects and category extension projects, in which practices related to public health were experienced. The categories highlighted in the article deal with: Multiprofessional Residence as a space for multidisciplinary and interprofessional articulation; Active methodologies as facilitating strategies for health promotion; and Multiprofessional Residency as a place of care practice and improvement of technical and scientific skills in the Health Care Network. It is concluded that the experience as residents contributed to the formation of critical and reflective attitudes, as well as enabled active participation in processes centered on health, health promotion, focusing on the emancipation of users under the aegis of the expanded clinic and the qualification of access.
Objetivo: Analisar as evidências referentes à falha no tratamento da sífilis durante o período gestacional em mulheresatendidas em um hospital de referência em Parnaíba-PI. Metodologia: A amostra foi composta por 24 gestantes/puérperasadmitidas no Hospital Estadual Dirceu Arcoverde para trabalho de parto e que apresentaram VDRL reagente durante ainternação. Como instrumento de coleta de dados, utilizou-se um formulário estruturado. Após a coleta, os dados forammensurados através de estatística descritiva. Resultados: Das 24 mulheres, 22 realizaram pré-natal e 12 apresentaramVDRL reagente. Entre as 12, 11 foram tratadas na gestação, mas somente 3 foram consideradas adequadamente tratadas.Conclusão: Uma assistência de pré-natal inadequada colabora para a ocorrência de falhas no tratamento de gestantes comsífilis, o que pode resultar no aumento do número de casos da forma congênita. Objective of this study is to describe the experience of nursing professionals on the subject of immunization with students from a public school in the city of Teresina. This is a descriptive study based on an experience report by resident nurses from the Multiprofessional Residency Program in Family and Community Health in partnership with the Expanded Family Health Center and representatives of the Family Health Strategy team in a municipal public school located in the south of Teresina-PI. The health education action was constituted in three different moments, being these: Welcoming, executed through a dynamic "ice breaker", which aimed to begin the construction of links between professionals and students, development, in which it was possible to perceive the previous knowledge of the students on the subject, through the distribution of cards, followed by the joint construction of a conceptual map elaborated with the knowledge passed on by the resident nurses, decreasing doubts and presenting a new perspective on the importance of immunization, and finalization, through the dynamics of myths and truths. It is concluded that although the students have general knowledge about immunization, some information is passed on to them incompletely, and it is necessary to develop actions that promote students awareness of immunization practices. It is important to emphasize the importance of health professionals to take advantage of active methodologies, acquiring a more sensitive, culminating in greater assimilation of knowledge by the participants and sharing of knowledge.
OBJETIVO: Avaliar o conhecimento e atitudes de pacientes diabéticos frente a medidas preventivas do pé diabético em Teresina-PI. MÉTODO: Estudo com delineamento transversal, de caráter descritivo, com abordagem quantitativa, realizado com 84 usuários de uma Unidade Básica de Saúde, do município de Teresina-PI, capital do Estado do Piauí. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevista e analisados por meio de estatística descritiva, multivariada e de frequência. RESULTADOS: Verificou-se que 52,4% (N=44) da amostra pontuou acima da mediana para a dimensão de atitudes de controle do diabetes mellitus (Md=21), ao passo que 58,3% (N=49) apesentou pontuação superior para a dimensão de conhecimentos e atitudes sobre as medidas preventivas do pé diabético (Md=6). CONCLUSÃO: As informações coletadas evidenciaram um grau significativo de déficit de conhecimento, indicando que os pacientes seguem as orientações de forma segmentada, desprendidas de um conhecimento prévio de seus potenciais riscos.
