Due to the increasing use of renewable energies and the volatile behaviour of wind and sun power new turbulences in energy marketsespecially increasing and strongly fluctuating energy prices -are expected. Hence, companies' production systems have to be energy flexible in order to cope with these changes in energy markets. This paper presents an approach for evaluating measures for conducting energy flexibility, e.g. changing process parameters or rescheduling of processes depending on the availability of energy in the grid.
