Purpose of the Study: The curves of Islamic dacwah activities in the Philippines have faced ebbs and flows due to various internal and external constraints. In Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), lots of responses had been received by the Islamic organization from the local Muslim societies on the dacwah activities which require further reform in a way of diversifying the dacwah efforts in the whole region. This research aims of identifying the response of Muslim society towards the Islamic dacwah activities in the Philippines. Methodology: In this study, quantitative methodology research was applied and the data were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) for Windows version 21 with a total number of 272 respondents. Main Findings: The results showed the responses towards the Islamic dacwah activities in a Muslim society (mean=3.71); Muslim family and friends (mean=3.51) were at high level. However, findings regarding the responses from the government (mean=3.13) and non-Muslim society (mean=3.15) were at moderate level. Implications: The findings are essential for Islamic da’wah organizations to redesign and formulate various dacwah programs in order to ensure better implication on the societies.
This study aims to identify the consciousness level of Muslim converts towards halal food in Malaysia. This is a quantitative form of study involving 100 of Malaysian Muslim converts who attend classes in Malaysian Islamic Welfare Organisation (PERKIM) Centre, Malaysian Chinese Association (MACMA), Department of Federal Territory Islamic Affairs (JAWI) and Darul Falah Hostel located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The students were randomly selected for the study. The main objective of the study is to identify the most frequent attended food stores, to analyze the aspects affecting the Muslim converts prior to food purchase as well as to identify the common action been taken regarding the status of a food product for self-satisfaction. The findings show that the frequency of those Muslim converts attending the food stores is at the low level (mean 2.52). However, the significant level for the aspects affecting them prior to food purchase is at the moderate level (mean 2.84), while the level of common action been taken regarding the status of a food product for self-satisfaction as a whole is also at the moderate level (mean 3.37).
Purpose of the Study: This research aims to identify the response level of Muslim minority towards the implementation of Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education Program in the Philippines. The main problems of Islamic educational system which was regarded as an effective element of Islamization was discouraged and narrowed down to give way to secularized educational system in the country and also, how to preserve Islam in a country where they are a minority but where, nevertheless, the fundamental law of the land provides for a secular government. Methodology: In this study, quantitative methodology research was applied and the data were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) for Windows version 21 with a total number of respondents as of 272 people. Main Findings: The results showed that the total average means a score of the response of Muslim minority towards the implementation of Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education Program was at a moderate level with a value of 3.03. However, majority of the respondents agreed that implementation of Arabic Language and Islamic Value Education program is one of the inward-looking tendencies or deepening process of Islamization in the country. Implications: The impact of Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education may educate the children to keep them away from any extremism and radicalism acts.
Mainstreaming the issue of Islamic education in the Philippines will be a major avenue in providing the overall educational requirements for every Filipino Muslims. A qualitative method is applied in this study, which mainly involved analyzing contents. The findings of the study show that Islamic education plays a vital role in peace and development for Muslims-Christians relationship. The study finds out that due to the achievement of peace and development for the country, the government implements Arabic Language and Islamic Values Program (ALIVE) that lead to National Public Holiday, provide equal education, provide opportunity for Muslims scholars and give some advantage to Muslim society in the Philippines. Focus on the issue of Islamic education in the country will create a garden of peace that may lead to respect and harmony.
Purpose of the study: This article intends to review the pieces of literature on Quranic psychotherapy for the rehabilitation of paedophilia. Methodology: For this article, content analysis has been used to discuss the data from documents, such as books, journals, and other related materials which had been reviewed and referred to Quran as the main source. Main Findings: This article found that the essential need for Quranic psychotherapy for the rehabilitation of paedophilia and the development of a special module to curb this issue in Malaysia. Applications of this study: This article can be useful for government, academia, psychotherapist, parents, etc. to build and apply the module together and prevent this paedophile crime from continuing to occur. Novelty/Originality of this study: Only a very few have examined the children who often become victims of sexual abuse. Children also often misunderstood the meaning of affection shown by adults. Thus, this opportunity used by some parties to exploit the meaning of love so that crimes like paedophilia occurs. Also, sexual abuse affects the psychological well-being of the perpetrator and the victims of paedophilia, thereby changing their sexual orientation.
