Background: COVID-19 is an acute resolved disease but it can also be deadly, with a 2% case fatality rate. Health care workers are the frontline soldiers against COVID-19. They experienced fear, high level of stress, fatigue, grief and anxiety during facing pandemic. So, development and application of a meditative program that consistent with our culture can be valuable to control and overcome stress, building resilience and hope. Aim: To evaluate the effect of passage meditation program on nurses' level of hope and resilience who working with COVID 19 patients. Subjects and method: Study Design: A quasi-experimental, pre-post-test design was utilized in the current study. The study was conducted at Tanta chest hospital affiliated to Ministry of health. It was an online study through using Google forms (Google drive). Subjects: All of nurses (fifty nurses) working at Tanta chest hospital. Tools: two tools were used to gather data for this research, Hearth hope scale and the brief resilience scale (BRS). Method: a WhatsApp group were introduced for all nurses, the studied nurses were divided into five subgroups; each subgroup encompassed 10 nurses. Each subgroup was attending a total of 6 sessions. These sessions were scheduled as 3 sessions per week for duration of 2 weeks. Each session was lasted for about an hour. Results: there is a positive statistically significant relationship between the nurse total resilience score and hope score. Conclusion: the passage meditation program was effective in elevation hope level and improving resilience among nurses Recommendation: the current study suggested, the global nursing organizations work on drafting effective and proactive nurses' human-factor guidelines and network that embeds human factor as a dynamic shock absorber.
Patient satisfaction is a crucial and frequently used parameter for assessing the standard of medical service. The COVID-19 epidemic forces the health systems to quickly adapt and find ways to deliver their customary offline services using online resources. Telepsychiatry enables psychiatrists to care for more patients in the far places. Where both the psychiatrists and their patients were able to connect, run through psycho diagnostics, and even recommend (pharmacology and psychotherapy) treatment. Aim: We aimed to assess patient level of satisfaction with use of telepsychiatry and their felt stigma in psychiatric clinic. Design: The descriptive correlational design was used. Setting: carried out at private health care center and private clinic that provide care through telepsychiatry using Chezlong, and Nabd Tech application. Tools: The study data was collected by using the following two tools: Tool I: Standardized Stigma Scale, Tool II: Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire Short Form (PSQ-18). Result: The main results revealed that more than half of the individuals that were investigated, were satisfied with tele psychiatry, most of them had great stigma level, also, there was not a statistically significant correlation between stigma and satisfaction with tele psychiatry. Conclusion: the majority of the studied patients were satisfied with the accessibility of using telepsychiatry and there was no statistically significant correlation between patients' satisfaction with using tele psychiatry and their perception of mental stigma. Recommendations: we offered recommendations for health IT policy makers, developers, and researchers to sustain the continuity of telehealth activities beyond the COVID-19 pandemic and enable the wide adoption and use of telehealth services.
Background:The emotional divorce considers a catastrophic problem in society as it destroys all family and has negatively effects on child psychological wellbeing and mother psychological hardness. Aim:The aim of this study is to assess the association between emotional divorce, mothers' psychological hardiness and child's psychological wellbeing. Design: this study followed descriptive correlational design. Setting :Basic education governmental school at Tanta city and Kafrelsheikh city Tools: The data was collected using three tools: Tool I: Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scales (PWB), Tool II: Emotional Divorce Scale Tool III: Psychological Hardiness Scale Result: the basic result revealed that the highest percentage of the mothers have high emotional divorce and of majority of mother have lower psychological hardiness and most of children have mild psychological wellbeing , there is statistically significant negative correlation between children psychological wellbeing and mothers emotional divorce and negative correlation between mothers' emotional divorce and their psychological hardness Conclusion: the present study concluded that, emotional divorce affect mothers' psychological hardness and children psychological wellbeing . Recommendations: It is necessary to develop further scientific family program to improve spouses' mental health so they can cope with and adjust to life's challenges and stressors.
