Scientific literacy skills are very important skills in life, not only related to academic aspects, but also in real life. Therefore, science literacy skills become a goal in 21st century education. This study aims to investigate the level of scientific literacy skills of biology prospective teacher, and to find out whether there are significant differences in scientific literacy skills of biology prospective teacher based on semester. In this study, there were 69 prospective biology teachers as voluntary respondents, consisting of 17 (2nd semester), 25 (4th semester), and 27 (6th semester). The Test of Scientific Literacy Skills (ToSLS) is an instrument used to measure scientific literacy skills. Furthermore, the data were analyzed descriptively and multivariatly using SPSS 22 at the 5% significance level. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that our participants' scientific literacy skills were not significantly different. In general, our participants' scientific literacy skills were low in the aspect understanding of element research design, creating graphs, solving problems using quantitative skills, and justify inferences, predictions, and conclusions based on quantitative data, and semesters have no significant effect on scientific literacy skills. Then, the recommendations for the results of this study are described briefly in the conclusion section
This study aims to identify the addition of bran and onion extract to the quantity of merang mushroom production. This research was carried out at the mushroom house merang Dusun Repok Tunjang Taman Indah Village, Pringgarata District, Lombok center NTB. This research is a descriptive experiment. The study was conducted with treatment and control design. The treatment medium was given fine bran and onion extract while the control added coarse bran rice milling waste. The data obtained are described in the form of graphs and photos. The researchers' findings show that the quality of merang mushroom production in media needs to be 36.03% higher when compared to control media. This is supported by the growth of mycelium, a faster fine head in the treatment medium. The application of bran and onion extract to the growing medium of merang mushrooms has a positive impact on the productivity and quality of merang mushrooms.

ABSTRACT:The purpose of this study is to see the practicality and effectiveness of the learning tools that have been developed so as to enhance students' creative ideas. This type of research is pre-experimental research design with one group pre-test village post-test. The instrument in this study was the observation sheet of the implementation of learning, student questionnaire responses and tests of creative thinking skills. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that students' responses to the learning process by using inquiry-oriented learning tools in general students felt interested and the results of thinking ability tests showed a classical completion. Based on these results it can be concluded that the implementation of inquiry-oriented learning tools can be declared practical and effective to improve students' creative ideas.
This study aims to improve students' habits of mind through the implementation of inquiry learning models. This research is classroom action research (CAR) which consists of stages: (1) action planning, (2) implementation of actions, (3) observation and interpretation, (4) analysis and reflection. The subjects of this study were 30 people. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, questionnaire, and test. Based on the results of the study, the n-gain of students' habits of mind is 0.62 (medium category), this is captured through questionnaire data given at the beginning and at the end of the learning so that they can know the initial conditions before and after the application of inquiry learning. The results of the student questionnaire in Cycle I were 40%, Cycle II 47% and Cycle III as many as 57% of students who had habits of mind in a good category. Student's N-gain test is 0.73 with a high category and student completeness reaches 83%. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the application of inquiry learning models can improve students' habits of mind.
