The empirical phenomena revealed several problems related to the competence of academic supervision including supervisors’ lack of competence in helping teachers solve the problems related to learning activities. This research is R&D using ADDIE approach. The findings of this research show that: 1) from needs analysis through questionnaires and interviews with the Ministry of Religious Affairs regarding supervisors’ competence in general and through FGD activities with teachers and supervisors, it was found that teachers really needed guidance in their professional development from supervisors through their academic supervision, so a model of academic supervision was designed; 2) the stages of ADDIE in the development of the supervision model were conducted as follows: analysis of the academic supervision model design for Madrasah Aliyah Sungai Penuh, design of the academic supervision model for Madrasah Aliyah Sungai Penuh, development of the academic supervision model for Madrasah Aliyah Sungai Penuh, implementation of the academic supervision model to improve PAI teachers’ performance at Madrasah Aliyah Sungai Penuh, and evaluation of the implementation of the academic supervision model to improve PAI teachers’ performance at Madrasah Aliyah Sungai Penuh; 3) from the statistical analysis through several tests, it was found that this model was practical, relevant and effective in improving PAI teachers’ performance at Madrasah Aliyah Sungai Penuh.
Good self control will lead individual to have discipline behavior. This research aims to describe the contribution of self control to students’ discipline. This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The subject of the research was 42 students of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Limau. Scale was used to collect the data which consist of Self Control Scale and Students’ Discipline Scale. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistic method and simple regression with SPSS version 20. The research findings shows significant contribution of self control to students’ discipline. Thus, self control gives significant impact to students’ discipline. This findings is based on data analysis which shows r score 0,71 means there is strong relationship between self control and students’ discipline.
One of the learning problems that often occurs, especially in universities, is to postpone all activities related to academics or better known as academic procrastination. During the lecture process, it was found that many students were identified as conducting academic procrastination, like procrastinating on assignments from lecturers, delaying learning, etc., which would ultimately affect not only the learning outcomes, but also on student morale. One of the direct consequences of academic procrastination is the lack of honesty in working on academic assignments, which of course needs to be typically prevented. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of information services by using Role-Playing in an effort to prevent academic procrastination in college students. This study used one group pretest-posttest design. Based on the research that has been done, it was found that information services by using Role-Playing effectively in reducing academic procrastination for college students.
The SSCS learning that is collaborated with student worksheets can enhance students more actively in learning because this process can facilitate students in finding and building knowledge to solve problems. The method applied a Research and Development (R&D) adapted from Borg and Gall model. This study was only carried out until the development stage. The results showed that the SSCS-based student worksheets according to material experts containing the aspects of content eligibility of 85.19% with an excellent/eligible category, the presentation eligibility of 85% with an excellent/eligible category, and the SSCS components of 85.26% with an excellent/eligible category. Meanwhile, according to design experts containing the aspects of cover design of 90% with an excellent/eligible category, the cover typography of 100% with an excellent/eligible category, the content design of student worksheet of 87.50 with an excellent/eligible category, and the content illustration of student worksheet of 81.25% with an excellent/eligible category. Based on the teachers’ responses showed an excellent/eligible category, with total score of the teachers’ assessment of 92.17%. The results of students’ responses based on individual tests of 78.13% with an excellent category, small group tests of 78.24% with an excellent category as well as the limited field tests of 81.48% with an excellent category.
