The latest trend to implement quality management systems according to the requirements of ISO 9001, 2008, leads organizations perform the functions of the Deming cycle, where as part of the planning is crucial the documentation of system for the future implementation, control and improvement. This situation has led to the development of various investigations to facilitate this important step because of the rule doesn't specify how to achieve. Precisely the aim of this paper is to develop a method for documenting systems quality management, which took reference from other authors. RESUMENLa tendencia actual de implantar sistemas de gestión de la calidad según los requisitos establecidos en la norma ISO 9001 de 2008, depara de las organizaciones cumplimentar las funciones del ciclo Deming, en las que como parte de la planificación es determinante la documentación del sistema, para su futura implantación, control y mejora. Situación que ha provocado el desarrollo de diversas investigaciones que faciliten este importante paso, a causa de que la mencionada norma no precisa cómo lograrlo. Precisamente el objetivo del presente artículo es desarrollar un procedimiento para la documentación de los sistemas de gestión de la calidad, el cual tomó como referencia las experiencias de otros autores. The institution and the adjudication of quality premiums have happened practical International that favors the excellence in the administration of the organizations to achieve with effi cacy effi ciency and the competitiveness of the results and achieving a formal and public recognition to outstanding enterprises by its management models wholly advanced. In Cuba it awards from 1999 the National Premium to the Quality of the Cuba Republic. This movement has generalized for the whole country by means of the institution of Provincial Premiums of Quality. The present work presents a preliminary assessment on the organization and application of this experience at Holguin's province, Cuba, the procedure of evaluation and adjudication, the criteria of evaluation and obtained results.
