Beras mempunyai aktivitas antioksidan dan tabir surya sehingga bermanfaat bagi kulit diantaranya mencerahkan kulit, menghilangkan bintik hitam, mencegah penuaan dini dan mengatasi jerawat. Formulasi krim beras untuk perawatan kulit merupakan sediaan farmasi yang dipilih dengan keuntungan praktis dan mudah digunakan. Penggunaan asam stearat, setil alkohol dan trietanolamin (TEA) dapat membentuk emulsi tipe minyak dalam air yang stabil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimasi formula krim beras menggunakan kombinasi asam stearat, setil alkohol dan trietanolamin. Krim dibuat 8 formula dengan kisaran konsentrasi asam stearat antara 5,0-6,5%, setil alkohol antara 2,5-4,0% dan trietanolamin kisaran 1,0-1,5%. Hasil uji organoleptis menyatakan semua formula mempunya karakteristik yang sama yaitu berwarna putih susu, berbau green tea dan mempunyai tektur yang lembut. Uji homogenitas menunjukkan semua formula homogen. Hasil uji pH pada formula 5 dan 6 yaitu 6,4 ±0,1 dan 6,3±0,17 memenuhi syarat pH ideal krim (4,5-6,5). Semua formula memenuhi persyaratan viskositas yang baik untuk sediaan semisolid menurut SNI. Formula 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 dan 6 mempunyai persyaratan daya sebar yang baik yaitu 5-7cm. Hasil uji daya lekat menyatakan bahwa semua formula memenuhi persyaratan daya lekat krim yang baik yaitu > 1 detik. Semua formula menunjukkan tipe M/A. Hasil uji stabilitas menunjukkan bahwa sediaan krim beras stabil. Hasil uji yang telah menunjukkan formula optimum dalam penelitian ini adalah formula 5 dan formula 6.
Kopi robusta adalah salah satu jenis kopi yang banyak dibudidayakan di Indonesia. Salah satu proses yang dapat menentukan kualitas kopi adalah proses roasting. Tingkatan proses roasting biji kopi dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi light, medium dan dark. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh roasting terhadap kadar kafein dalam biji kopi robusta yang berasal dari Temanggung. Biji kopi dianalisis secara organoleptis, pH dan di ukur densitasnya. Seduhan serbuk biji kopi diekstraksi cair-cair dengan kloroform, filtrat yang diperoleh diuapkan sehingga terbentuk kristal. Hasil kristal dianalisis secara organoleptis, analisa kualitatif dengan reagen Parry dan analisa kuantitatif dengan spektrofotmeter UV. Persentase kadar kafein dalam sampel kopi dianalisis menggunakan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proses roasting mempengaruhi warna, bau, ukuran biji kopi dan densitas serta pH berkisar antara 4,65-4,73. Hasil uji kualitatif membuktikan bahwa dari semua sampel kopi robusta, yaitu green bean, light, medium, dan dark roasting mengandung kafein. Uji kuantitatif menyatakan bahwa kadar kafein terendah adalah green bean (0,64%) dan tertinggi adalah dark roasting (1,58%).
Background: Many countries' use of traditional medicine during the COVID-19 pandemic aims to increase immunity and reduce symptoms caused by COVID-19. The use of traditional medicine, either alone or in combination with "western medicine" has become a concern for many countries to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic when drugs and vaccines are in the process of discovery and procurement. Methods: The main sales data obtained are included and excluded so that they can be compared, then coded according to the distribution permit classification, route of administration, country of origin, and usage claims. The analysis of the effect of the route of administration and country of origin is based on chi-square (chi-square count > chi-square table), which states that both have an effect. Results: The significance of the use of traditional medicines based on claims (p <0.05) before and during the COVID-19 pandemic was not significantly different. Conclusion: There is an effect of using Indonesian traditional medicine by classification of the route of use and country of origin. It is only a claim to help maintain liver health, which has a significant difference in the use of Indonesian traditional medicines before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, but the percentage of sales is decreasing.
ABSTRACT Broccoli is known to be very rich in secondary metabolites, such as alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, polyphenols, essential oils, and polypeptides. Alkaloids are one of the secondary metabolites that are commonly found in nature and have physiological activities. The extraction time factor is the thing that can affect the quality of the extraction results which in this study is the alkaloid content. This study aims to determine the optimal maceration time so that it can produce optimum total alkaloid content. The stages in this study include sample preparation and then sample extraction by maceration using 96% ethanol with differences in maceration time of 1 day, 2 days and 3 days. Furthermore, identification using TLC and analysis of total alkaloid content using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Kruskal Wallis test was used to determine whether there was an effect of maceration time on total alkaloid content. The results showed that the highest average total alkaloid content in the second sample was maceration for 2 days with a concentration of 17.5%. The Kruskal Wallis test showed that there was no effect between maceration time on total alkaloid content.
Factors that affect the growth of the baby is the fulfillment of sleep needs, 75% of growth hormone is excreted when the baby sleeps, so it can stimulate brain development. However, babies often have difficulty sleeping due to various factors. Many studies have proven that massage using lavender aromatherapy has succeeded in improving the baby's sleep needs. Therefore, to summarize the results of this study, a literature study was carried out on the effect of lavender massage and aromatherapy. Literature review was carried out by searching scientific articles with keywords: aromatherapy-baby massage, aromatherapy massage on babies, baby massage and aromatherapy on babies. Article searches were performed on PubMed and Google Scholar. The search results obtained 7 articles that met the inclusion criteria. Based on the results of the literature review, it can be seen that the study population involved were infants aged 0-12 months. Baby massage combined with lavender aromatherapy can improve the quality of baby sleep and can affect the length of time to sleep and babies can easily fall back asleep when they wake up. Lavender aromatherapy can provide a calming effect, improve mood, blood circulation, maintain and increase endurance, sedative, hypnotic and anti-neurodepressive effects.
