In the Bakibaba Copper Mine, the longhole stoping method is used in the production of copper ore. Stability problems have occurred at times on the footwall drift due to the interaction between the footwall drift and stope. In this study, we propose a method for estimating the minimum distance necessary to ensure a non-interaction zone between the footwall drift and stope. We used the finite element method and various distances between the footwall drift and stope and the displacements over drifts as parameters. We also performed analyses on various geological strength index values from low to high to determine the effect of the rock mass on the interaction between the footwall drift and stope
Landslides are one of the most common hazards in open pit mines. The occurrence of a landslide affects both the safety and economy of the pits. By understanding the movement mechanism of the slopes, preventative safety studies can be undertaken. The determination of the orientation of a landslide is the most important step to understand the movement mechanism in open pit mines. The dip and the dip direction of a slope give significant information about the orientation of a landslide, traditionally measured by compass. This study presents an approach to determine the landslide movement orientation and slope deformation rate by using a 3D terrestrial laser scanner. A landslide on the north-east of the Simav open pit where is located at the west region of Turkey, known as the Kucuk Hill landslide, was examined as a case study. The orientation of the slopes was found and contour graphs were drawn. Then, stereographic projection results showed the orientation of the landslide. On the other hand, a monitoring scenario was revealed and the deformations on the pit benches were determined.
Özet: Yeraltı kazı çalışmaları esnasında meydana gelen deformasyonların en yüksek doğrulukla belirlenmesi kazı işleminin emniyeti ve ekonomisi için son derece önemlidir. Son yıllarda yersel lazer tarayıcıların yeraltı deformasyon ölçümlerindeki uygulamaları hızlı, yüksek doğrulukla ve büyük alanlarda kısa sürede veri elde edebilmesinden dolayı gittikçe önem kazanmıştır. Öte yandan yersel lazer tarayıcılar ile yeraltından elde edilen verilerin deformasyon amaçlı değerlendirilmesi konusu hala güncel bir çalışma alanıdır. Bu çalışma kapsamında da örnek bir yeraltı ocağından yersel lazer tarayıcı ile alınan ölçüm sonuçlarına göre deformasyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Deformasyon analizleri yapılırken nokta bulutunokta bulutu, nokta bulutu-model mesafesi ve kesit analizleri olmak üzere üç yöntem kullanılmış ve bu üç yöntemin sonuçları karşılaştırılmıştır.
