The objective of the research is to analyze the opinions of physical education teachers regarding national and cultural values gained through physical education and sports activities. In the research, the interview method has been used from qualitative research patterns. The study group consists of 19 physical education teachers (12 Male and 7 Female) selected according to the easily accessible sampling method from purposeful sampling methods, which is one of the improbable sampling strategies working at the middle and high school level in Gaziantep province in 2019-2020 Academic Year. Data have been gathered via a semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers and have been evaluated by content analysis method. According to the results of the study it has been determined that physical education teachers think that physical education and sports activities have positive effects in the development of students in terms of national and cultural values, but have various criticisms and suggestions for practice of such activities.
The purpose of this research is to determine the using of teaching styles of physical education teachers in public andprivate schools in Turkey and related to these styles to find out the value perceptions. The research was performedout with survey model. The research group consisted of simple random sampling method based on the probabilitysampling methods 2017-2018 Academic Year in Turkey in Kayseri province 109 of them work at public schools and47 of them work at private schools and totally 156 physical education teachers. As the data collection tool the“Physical Education Teachers Use of Teaching Styles and Perceptions of Styles Questionnaire”, developed byKulinna and Cothran (2003) and adapted to Turkish by Ince and Hunuk (2010), was used in the research. In theanalysis of the data the Arithmetic mean, standard deviation, independent t-test and variance analysis tests were usedfor repeated measurements. The meaningfulness level was adopted as α=0.05. As a result of the research, it wasdetermined that physical education teachers in public and private schools use teaching centered teaching styles.
The aim of this study is to examine the professional motivations of Physical Education and Sports Teachers. The study group included totally (n=300) 93 female and 207 male physical education and sports teachers working in; Erzurum (n=30), Yozgat (n=22), Kayseri (n=30), Nevsehir (n=56), Aksaray (n=22), Ankara (n=52), Istanbul (n=44) and Kirsehir (n=40) provinces. The research was made in 2017–2018 academic year. As a data collection tool “Vocational Motivation Scale”, which consists of 24 items, was developed by Ural (1996). SPSS 22.0 package program was used for statistical analysis of the acquired data and results were evaluated at p<0.05 meaningfulness level. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a meaningful difference in physical motivation of physical education teachers according to age and seniority, and it was determined that there was a significant difference when their vocational motivations were determined by gender.
The aim of this research is the goals of the value detectors that we present to the sportsmen of the national wrestlers. In the research, interview method was used in qualitative research companies. The research group consisted of 7 national wrestlers (1 female, 6 male) from Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Çukurova University and Mersin University in 2015-2016 Education Year. The data were reached through the Personal Information Form (4 questions) and the Semi-Structured Interview Form (5 questions). Content analysis method was used for evaluation of the data. As a result of the research, it has been determined that the most frequently stated values of national wrestlers' opinions about the values they have gained from sports are selfconfidence, respect, obeying rules, cooperation, tolerance, responsibility, ambition, discipline and etc. It is thought that sports gain the human values that are accepted in society and tried to teach to individuals from a very early age.
