(chapter 3). Rather than focusing on DT's points of strength such as 'contingency and constructedness' (chapter 7), the book also explores its weaknesses and even seeks to supplement them with stronger theories such as Bourdieu's 'habitus' (chapter 6). Furthermore, testing the synthesis of this cross-fertilisation, the book includes methodological application of the New Media and the 'liquid citizens', a process accordingly recommended within a 'radical contextualisation' (chapter 8). The volume also includes an original analysis of the 2009 UK MPs' expenses scandal in the popular press through the psycho-analyticallyinflicted Lacanian tools of 'enjoyment' and 'fantasy', albeit the argument still needs further integration within the overarching DT assumptions taken as the point of departure throughout the book. In addition, part of the contents in the concluding chapter 10, such as the historical overview of CMP, is introductory and would best fit within the first chapter.
