A new water level measuring system, using laser rangefinder sensor with phase method as laser water level sensor without cooperative target is presented. The laboratory and field experiments have been done to confirm the application field and measuring accuracy of system. The results show that the measuring accuracy could reach to ±1.5 mm in calm water in case that water turbidity value is greater than 300 NTU. Furthermore, the measuring accuracy can reach to ±3mm for the measuring period taking 5 minute in case of the water surface sloshing. The maximum measuring distance of system could reach to 12m.
A VS-M is the latest video coding standard developed by China for mobile application, which promises improved performance close to H.264/AVC with lower complexity. In an A VS-M encoder, the most time-consuming component is variable block-size motion estimation (ME). Since the complexity of integer pixel search has been greatly reduced by numerous fast ME algorithms, the computation overhead required by fractional pixel ME has become relatively significant. To reduce the complexity of fractional pixel ME, a prediction based fractional pixel ME algorithm is proposed in this paper. More accurate motion vector predictions are utilized in the algorithm to achieve better computation reduction. Additionally, an early termination method to decrease the amount of search is proposed.Experimental results show that compared to the full search sub pel ME and the fast sub-pel ME proposed in H.264/AVC, the proposed method can reduce up to 84% and 63% of fractional pixel search points respectively, with a negligible degradation in quality.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
