ABSTRAK Literasi sains memainkan peranan penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Literasi sains merupakan kemampuan menggunakan pengetahuan sains, mengidentifikasi permasalahan dan menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan bukti-bukti, dalam rangka mengerti serta membuat keputusan tentang alam dan perubahan yang terjadi pada alam sebagai akibat aktivitas manusia (OECD, 2009). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan literasi sains siswa SMP Negeri 2 Pematang Tiga Bengkulu Tengah. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 26 siswa kelas VIII. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes literasi sains aspek pengetahuan dan kompetensi dalam bentuk soal objektif. Tes berjumlah 20 soal yang mencakup tiga indikator literasi sains yaitu konteks, konten dan proses. Soal tes literasi sains yang valid diadopsi dari penelitian Wulandari (2015). Data di analisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif, dengan menghitung skor rata-rata persentase kemampuan literasi sains siswa secara keseluruhan dan pada setiap indikator. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa aspek pengetahuan dan kompentensi secara keseluruhan mencapai skor rata-rata 41,35 %. Kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada indikator konteks mencapai skor rata-rata 45,80 %, pada indikator konten mencapai skor rata-rata 40,65 %, dan pada indikator proses mencapai skor rata-rata 42,49 %. Dari skor rata-rata di atas menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa secara keseluruhan dan pada setiap indikator masuk kedalam kategori sangat rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kemampuan siswa yang rendah dan kurangnya fasilitas yang mendukung dalam proses pembelajaran sains. Kata kunci: literasi sains, kemampuan literasi sains siswa.
This is a preliminary study aimed to identify students' scientific argumentation skill at Junior High School 1, Argamakmur, North Bengkulu. The data were gathered by online survey to 8 science teachers in Bengkulu and test to 32 students of grade eight in Junior High School 1, Argamakmur, North Bengkulu. Online survey consisted of 4 questions focused on science learning issues. The essay test to obtain scientific argumentation skill consisted of 4 questions, where each question was covering four indicators of scientific argumentation: claim, data, warrant and backing. A valid scientific argumentation test was adopted from Putri (2016). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics by calculating the percentage of average score of teacher answers and students' scientific argumentation skill as a whole. The data analysis revealed that the teachers argue that students' scientific argumentation skill was still very low compared to others skill like the science process skill, critical thinking skill, creative thinking skill, scientific literacy skill and student independence and this statement supported by test result where the score of students' argumentation skill achieved low category. This phenomenon might be caused by the lack of educational learning process that facilitates students in expressing their opinions according to scientific evidence both orally and in writing. This paper also offers an idea helping teachers to improve students' scientific argumentation skill by implementing phenomenon-based learning with video assistance through a modified "flipped classroom" approach.
This research is quantitative research with a descriptive method that aims to analyze and compare the quality of students' scientific arguments in experimental class 1 which is applied by the PBL model through Flipped Classroom approach with experimental class 2 which applies the PBL model only. Instruments to measure students' scientific argumentation skills are essay questions. The quality of the students' arguments was analyzed based on the completeness of the components and the strength of the arguments. Analysis of the completeness of students' argumentation components aims to determine the level of students' argumentation which consists of 5 levels. The strength of the students' arguments was analyzed and categorized into three categories, namely weak, moderately strong, and strong. The results showed that students' scientific argumentation skills based on the completeness of the argument components in both classes experienced a significant increase. Most of the students in both classes have level 3 argumentation skills, meaning that students can make claims accompanied by complete supporting grounds. Based on the analysis of students' argument strength, experimental class 1 showed better argument quality than experimental class 2 where the percentage of students with strong argument strength in experimental class 1 was higher. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of PBL with Flipped Classroom approach can improve the quality of students' scientific arguments
Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) adalah rencana tindakan satu atau lebih sesi pembelajaran tatap muka yang dikembangkan dalam kurikulum untuk memandu kegiatan belajar siswa menuju pencapaian suatu Kompetensi Dasar (KD) yang dipersiapkan oleh guru sebelum memulai kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan data melalui studi dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara, untuk menganalisis kesesuaian RPP berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA di kelas VIII SMP. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan memperlihatkan bahwa dari enam RPP yang dianalisis, empat termasuk kategori sangat akurat dan dua kategori akurat. Agar suatu RPP dinilai akurat, maka harus berpedoman pada silabus yang telah dikembangkan sebelumnya yang memuat standar kompetensi, kompetensi inti, materi pelajaran/pembelajaran, pembelajaran, indikator kompetensi, penilaian, komitmen waktu, dan sumber belajar.
Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi dan bimbingan teknis terkait portal rumah belajar Kemdikbud sebagai salah satu solusi untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif dan inovatif di era society 5.0 pada guru Sekolah Dasar. Adapun program kegiatan pengabdian ini terbagi menjadi dua kegiatan yaitu sosialisasi portal rumah belajar Kemdikbud dan bimbingan teknis Portal Rumah Belajar Kemdikbud. Sasaran kegiatan adalah Guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri 2 Seulalah Kota Langsa, Aceh yang berjumlah 20 orang. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan pada tanggal 10-11 Mei 2022. Metode yang dilakukan untuk bimbingan teknis adalah metode ceramah, diskusi, dan praktik langsung dengan guru. Kegiatan bimbingan teknis dilaksanakan dengan lancar dan penuh antusiasme dari peserta pelatihan. Kesimpulan dari acara ini adalah pelaksanaan bimbingan teknis mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam mengaplikasikan portal rumah belajar. Implikasi dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah diharapkan guru sekolah dasar mampu melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan efektif dan mampu mengimplementasikan pembelajaran berbasis web dengan menggunakan portal rumah belajar. Community service aims to provide information and technical guidance related to the Rumah Belajar From the Ministry of Education and Culture's learning as a solution to create effective and innovative learning in the era of society 5.0 for elementary school teachers. The program of service activities is divided into two activities, namely the socialization of the Rumah Belajar and technical guidance of Rumah Belajar Platform. The target of the activity was the teacher of the State Elementary School 2 Seulalah, Aceh. The activities were carried out on 10-11 May 2022. The methods used for technical guidance were lectures, discussions, and direct practice with teachers. Technical guidance activities were carried out smoothly and were full of enthusiasm from the training participants. This event concluded that implementing technical guidance could improve teachers' understanding and skills in applying the learning house portal. This service activity implies that elementary school teachers are expected to be able to carry out learning effectively and be able to implement web-based learning using the home learning portal.
