It is thought that the results of a study examining the articles published in peer-reviewed journals on technology in science education in terms of many criteria will provide important information to researchers. For this purpose, bibliometric network analysis was chosen as a method. The purpose of choosing this research method is to clearly summarize the relationship between science education and technology in order to identify technology in science education. In order to answer the research questions, bibliometric data consisting of 8511 articles in the Scopus database were evaluated using the bibliographic data obtained with the VOSviewer program. In addition, Pareto Law, Price Law, Lotka Law were used within the scope of citation analysis in the research. The results obtained from the research are presented.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the factors of affecting watermelon yield in Diyarbakır province. The data was obtained from surveying of 80 watermelon farmers in Diyarbakır province, Turkey by Simple Random Sampling Method using the Chi-square automatic interaction detector (EXHAUSTIVE CHAID) algorithm of the Data Mining Regression Tree methods. In the model created, the dependent variable was WY (watermelon yield), and the independent variables were determined as R (region), AF (age of farmer), EL (education level), CA (cultivation are), FD (fertilization date), FA (amount of fertilization), DS (date of spraying), AS (amount of spraying), NI (number of irrigation), IT (irrigation time), AN (anchor number), HT (harvest time). As a result of the study, the factors that significantly affect the yield of watermelon; AN, NI, HT, CA, R has been determined. An average of 4488.9 kg watermelon yield per decare was obtained and the number of hoes was the variable that most affected the watermelon yield. As a result in order to get a higher yield per unit area, watermelon producers should anchor number more than 4 times, irrigate 5 to 6 times at less than 2 hours, and apply fertilizer in May. In addition, Çermik, Eğil, Yenişehir and Bismil were determined as more suitable regions for watermelon production.
As a result of activities such as rapid population growth, industrialization and urbanization, uncontrolled agricultural practices, nonrenewable resources are depleted. In addition, these activities destroy renewable resources. Consumption habits and how much of the living area is used and the amount of living space needed to re-use the resources reveals the concept of ecological footprint. With the ecological footprint analysis, it is determined how sensitive the individual is to the environment and contributes to the increase and development of environmental awareness. It is important to measure the ecological footprint in order to realize environmental problems and the individual effects that cause these problems. Ecological footprint is an indicator for sustainability. For this reason, its application in educational institutions contributes to gain individual positive behaviour. With this research, it was aimed to determine the ecological footprint awareness level of vocational school students. Our study was carried out in the 2022-2023 academic year. Quantitative screening method was used in the study. The 'Ecological Footprint Awareness Scale' was used to obtain the data. SPSS 22.0 package program was used statistically. The ecological footprint awareness levels of the students were compared according to gender and the program they studied. At the end of the study, it was seen that there was a significant difference in the gender and department factors of the students. The sub-dimension with the highest level of awareness is waste, transportation and shelter; it was determined that the sub-dimension of food, energy and water consumption was the lowest.
