Past inheritance is not always a relic to be preserved and kept in the museum to be watched and admired only. There are some that should be extracted to understand the values lie beneath and furthermore those extracted materials could be transmitted to be a guide and support in life. This writing is intended to extract the local wisdom that can be found in some of the folklores that circulated among the people particularly in Minahasa, as well as to figure out ways of transmitting it. This is a qualitative research where data are consisting of words rather than numbers. The primary data are the folklores specifically folksongs, folktales and proverbs that can be found in Minahasa, one for each category, and the secondary data are some information about Minahasan social and cultural life that can be taken from some books and internet websites. In analyzing the data, the theory of interpreting folklore introduced by Alan Dundes will be used. Having analyzed the object material, it is found that the local wisdoms carried by the folklores are valuable to give insight for people in Minahasa. Behind each example of folktale, folk proverb and folksong lies great moral lesson. Unfortunately, those have been almost forgotten by people in Minahasa. Therefore, one of the ways of reminding the Minahasans of their traditional inheritance could be by transmitting them through local subject in schools. By introducing the folklores to people since their early years, perhaps they will also learn to understand the local wisdom lies behind those folklores, and practiced them at daily basis.
IntisariPenelitian ini di lakukan pada sekolah MIS (Manado Internasional School), yang memiliki latarbelakang budaya yang berbeda sehing-ga menjadikan pembelajaran dalam kelas menjadi saling mengisi. Manajemen pembelajaran yang diterapkan pada masa pandemik Covid-19 lebih pada bentuk virtual, atau jaga jarak apabila ber-tatap muka. Manajemen yang dilaksanakan pada pembelajaran ini bertujuan agar siswa lebih cepat dalam menerima pembelajaran musik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode diskriptif-kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan trigulasi. Ob-servasi dilakukan sesuai dengan protokol kesehatan, wawancara dilakukan dengan jaga jarak dan secara virtual, melalui aplikasi Zoom Cloud Meetings atau video call. Hasil penelitian ini menun-jukkan bahwa manajemen pembelajaran musik di MIS dalam masa pandemik Covid-19 atau Era Kenormalan Baru dilaksanakan dalam bentuk virtual. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk penun-jang siswa dalam berlatih mandiri adalah media youtube. Hasil pembelajaran ini diketahui lebih efektif dalam hal melatih kepekaan siswa bisa, dan mereka pun dapat dikontrol secara ber-ulang-ulang.Kata kunci: pembelajaran musik, permbelajaran virtual, era kenormalan baru, manado internasional school AbstractThis research was conducted at the MIS (Manado International School) school, which has different cultural backgrounds so that learning in the classroom is complementary. Learning management that was applied during the Covid-19 pandemic was more in a vir-tual form, or maintaining a distance when face to face. Manage-ment carried out in this learning aims to make students accept music learning more quickly. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative method. Data collection using trigulation. Ob-servers were carried out in accordance with health protocols, interviews were conducted in a distance and virtually, via the Zoom Cloud Meetings application or video call. The results of this study indicate that the management of music learning in MIS during the Covid-19 pandemic or the New Normal Era was implemented in vir-tual form. The learning media used to support students in prac-ticing independently is the youtube media. The learning outcomes are known to be more effective in terms of training students' sensi-tivity, and they can be controlled repeatedly.Keywords: music learning, virtual learning, new normal era, manado international school
Research has been carried out with the application of the make a match type of cooperative learning model to increase student understanding in the Manado International School (MIS). The problem in this study is the low understanding of students in choir material at the beginning of school, and besides that it is also due to different cultures and countries. For this reason, this study aims to determine students' understanding of choir material by applying cooperative learning type make a match to MIS students in Manado. The research setting is all students both adolescent and adult level in the first batch 2018/2019. This research uses Classroom Action Research. The instruments used were observation of teacher or coach learning activities, observation of student activities, and practical tests. Analysis of the data used is interpretation based on the calculation of the frequency distribution with discussion based on the percentage scale and indicators of learning completeness determined by the curriculum. The results of this study can be said that learning on choir material through cooperative learning of make a match type MIS in the city of Manado was declared successful. The activities of students in the first cycle carried out 80% with quite good criteria and the second cycle carried out 100% with good criteria. From this data it is known that from the stages of learning and student activity gradually increased.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana teknik pengekspresian karya Paduan Suara berdasarkan hubungan syair dan musik. Pengekspresian suatu karya Paduan Suara berdasarkan hubungan syair dan musik merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting ketika suatu karya dibawakan oleh kelompok Paduan Suara. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode studi pustaka. Literatur dan sumber yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa buku, jurnal, artikel, skripsi, wawancara mengenai segala hal dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan maka penulis menyimpulkan bahwa pengekspresian karya Paduan Suara berdasarkan hubungan syair dan musik menurut Perry Rumengan adalah suatu proses dimana kelompok Paduan Suara harus membawakan suatu karya dengan memperhatikan seluruh aspek seperti musik dalam syair, kualitas teks, memberi tanda pada suku-suku kata yang bertekanan, interval, ritme kata, struktur kalimat, dinamika, birama, emosi syair, style, kontur, membuat nada atau melodi atas dasar unsur suprasegmental dan makna syair, membuat melodi berdasar ritme syair, pembuatan melodi berdasar kontur emosi syair, pemilihan tangga nada-modus melodi berdasar emosi syair, penataan bentuk (form of musik) menurut emosi bagian-bagian syair, pembuatan style melodi berdasar emosi dan isi syair.
