Implant-abutment connection design has a significant influence on load bearing capacity and failure mode of implants; however, all implant-abutment connection designs tested would be expected to withstand clinically relevant forces.
Thermal residual stresses and strain energy release rates were correlated. Slight compressive stresses in the region of -20MPa were beneficial for the Y-TZP/veneer interfacial adhesion. Stresses higher or lower than this value exhibited decreased adhesion.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
