This paper focuses on utilization of analysis of different possibilities of merging two production sites with the help of simulation model of company processes. Software SIMUL8 was chosen as a development environment for its possibility of dynamic discrete simulation of company processes. In the first phase, it analyses current status of both production sites. It is followed by suggesting several possible solutions for their potential merger. Each solution is analyzed with the help of simulation models. They have been evaluated and the optimal solution was selected.
Abstract. The paper deals with the applications of modeling and simulation tools in the optimization of business processes, especially in solving an optimization of signal flow in security company. As a modeling tool was selected Simul8 software that is used to process modeling based on discrete event simulation and which enables the creation of a visual model of production and distribution processes.
Abstract. This paper discusses the possibilities of optimizing processes in forwarding companies that provide services in international truck transport. The computer simulation model was used to optimize logistics processes in the real distribution company. Software SIMUL8 was chosen as a development environment for its possibility of dynamic discrete simulation of company processes. This model will help us to analyze bottlenecks in company processes and find optimal solutions using simulation experiments. Optimization is focused on the company's warehouse, where a sequence of vehicles loading and unloading operations and emerging downtime are explored.
Příspěvek se zabývá ukázkou možnosti použití modelačního a simulačního nástroje ve výuce informatiky. Jako výchozí byl vybrán software Simul8, který slouží k modelování procesů na bázi simulace diskrétních událostí a umožňuje vytvoření vizuálního simulačního modelu a animaci událostí. Příkladem je uplatnění modelování ve výuce formou názorně demonstrační pomůcky s vysokým motivačním potenciálem pro žáky. V příspěvku jsou demonstrovány konkrétní kroky postupu při tvorbě simulačního modelu využitelného ve výuce a zaměřeného na rozvoj informatického myšlení.
