Research on the properties of high chromium cast iron overlay welds deposited by tubular electrodes mgr inż. Michał Szymura, dr inż. Artur Czupryński -Silesian University of Technology, Poland; dr inż. Maciej Różański -Institute of Welding,
The article presents the results of the study of the significance of influence of positioning deposited beads towards direction of abrasive movement, to resistance on grind wear platesHARDPLATE 100S’ abrasive wear. The study on relevance of influence was conducted by using completely randomized design. The range of study has covered testing the metal-material abrasive wear resistance, macroscopic and microscopic metallographic examination and hardness tests.
The fabrication of steel structures is often accompanied by the necessity of removing defects and welding imperfections formed during welding. An additional thermal cycle accompanying the making of a new weld has an undoubtedly detrimental effect on the mechanical properties of the heat affected zone (HAZ). The article discusses results of technological tests concerning the effect of MAG repair welding on the properties of the HAZ butt joints made of steel S960QL.
The article presents results of tests concerning the metal-mineral abrasive wear resistance of butt welded joints with abrasion-resistance overlay weld HARDPLATE 100S 5+3 made using a covered electrode with the solid core and the flux core as well as a self-shielded flux-cored wire. The significance of the above-named effect was determined using a completely randomized design. The scope of tests also included the analysis of the chemical and phase compositions, hardness measurements as well as the macro and microscopic metallographic tests of welded joints in abrasion-resistant plates.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
