This article describes the realization of speech acts suggestion expressed by the Islamic preachers (da'i(-s)) in responding to the questioners' (mad'u) questions. The data were obtained by employing the methods of nonparticipativeobservation and recording method. The data analysis used the method of ways and purpose. The obtained findings include the da'i expressed speech acts of suggestion into five distinguished forms, namely the imperatives, providing options, impersonal, hedging, and hints. The existing power and politeness factors surely affect the selection and use of the five distinguished types of speech acts suggestion.
This study aims to provide a model of research on the phenomena of old Indonesian literature within the framework of multiculturalism of ancient Malay texts, especially the texts "Simbur Cahaya Law" (SC) and "Tuhfah ar-Raghibin" (TR). This research uses two methods, namely: general methods and special methods. The general method used in research is a qualitative method. The special method used is the philological research method. Based on the results of the inventory of the manuscript, it is known that the SC and TR manuscripts are included in the plural scripts, so the edition method used is the foundation method. As for achieving the next goal, literary research methods are used with structural and semiotic approaches. The local wisdom contained in the texts of SC and TR is a clear example that the values of multiculturalism have lived in the archipelago. Therefore, studies the existence of ancient Malay texts needs to be carried out comprehensively and integrated so that it can provide inspiration for alternative solutions for the nation's sustainable development
ABSTRAKLatar belakang penelitian ini adalah adanya keragu-raguan peneliti antara model pembelajaran Discovry Learning dengan model pembelajaran Problem Solving. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan menggunakan desain noneequivalent control grub desaign. Pengumpulan data mengunakan tekhnik pretest dan posttest. Subjek dalam penelitan ini adalah siswa kelas 4 SDN Musuk 01, kelas 4 SDN Musuk 02, dan kelas 4 SDN Kembangsari 01 berjumlah 81 siswa. Tekhik analisis data menggunakan uji ANCOVA. Dialogic da'wah (preaching) discourse is an interaction between mad'u and dai. Interactions commonly include elements of initiation, response, and feedback. Every element in the interaction consists of various acts. This article emphasizes the description of act contained in the element of initiation. This article wants to show the difference between classroom discourse and dialogic preaching discourse on the elements of initiation. The data in this article are speech utterances when mad'u asking questions. The source of the data in this article is dialogical preaching, both organized by Islamic mass organizations and non-mass organizations in Surakarta. The method of obtaining data is listen and record method. Data analysis uses Birmingham School of Discourse Analysis theory. The results of the data analysis show that not all acts that occur in the classroom discourse are found in the dialogic preaching discourse. Even, there are acts that are not found in the classroom discourse. This arises because the acts in the initiation in the dialogic preaching discourse delivered by mad'u.
