In advance of building development near the village of Avrilly, excavation revealed a farm site, defined by a modest trapezoidal enclosure with traces of two small buildings and some pits. Ceramics discovered can be attributed to the first half of the first century BC. Excavation of a quem workshop, in a corner of the enclosure, enabled technological and typological analysis of the products. This activity postdates the filling of the enclosure ditch, in the second half of the first century BC. Finally, there are two phases of High Empire occupation with a field system replaced by the eastem part of a large yard, perhaps the end of a pars rustica.
