Globalization, as Anthony Giddens defines it, denotes a shift in the spatial form of human organization and activity to transcontinental or inter-regional patterns of activity, interaction and exercise of power. Under the spirit of capitalism, it can destroy our jobs, hollow out the decision-making power of government, and even threaten the nation-state as the nub of our kind of democracy. Critics of globalization worry about the inability of governments to set their own economic policies. They also worry about the increased power of financial markets to cause economic havoc. Looking at the ethical proposal to this problematic context, this article proposes that we move from an ethical study of the rational foundations of moral norms to a political reflection on the democratic construction of social norms. In such democratic construction, the plurality of views of life will be protected against overweening global capitalism. Kata-kata kunci: Globalisasi, kapitalisme, etika, demokrasi
Among the few philosophers who dedicated philosophical reflection on the problem of technology, Hans Jonas would be the leading one. Still in a close affinity with Martin Heidegger, his teacher, Jonas argued that modern technology bore some annoying characters. In line of this anxiety, Jonas suggested the importance of protecting life as an integral part of the ethical project he intended to build. Departing from his basic notion that human life is never separated from other organic life, Jonas has opened a wider space for ethical responsibilities towards life of the whole cosmos. In what sense is his notion of the responsibility towards the whole life should be understood is one of the aim of this paper. Baring in mind that Jonas developed his concept on life and human responsibility towards it as an argumentation against the development of technology, the social context in which modern technology finds its root is worthed to be discussed. It is concluded that separating ethics from ontology as many theorists and philosophers did so far has strengthened the old notion of human autonomy with its defects, and by that, the destruction of life seemed to be accepted as a consequence of it.
There has been changes in the young housewives’ activities, as currently, they not only carry out domestic activities in the house, but also go outside of the house. Activities, such as taking children to school, become part of domestic roles, then meeting other young modern mothers and forming group. This group then raises the “mahmud (mamah muda)” or young moms term. Changes in traditional reproductive roles in the domestic sector are interesting to be analyzed using the Morphogenesis Theory by Margaret Archer. This theory acknowledges that there is an asymmetrical relationship between external structures that are relatively autonomous with internal cultures, and at the same time, there is a reciprocal relationship between the two. The cultural case of this young mothers groups could be used as an example of this Morphogenesis theory. Constructivist paradigm study using this kind of phenomenological approach was able to explain how the process of morphogenesis change occurred, by conducting in-depth, open-ended interviews to ten mothers in their 30s whose children are in kindergarten/elementary school. This study was able to answer the research purpose, which was young moms, is the reality of changes in structure-culture and culture-structure, produced through the causality of both groups through communication of symbolic convergence that is the exchange of information (material) into symbols (non-material).

The results indicate that information credibility is significantly affected by the medium credibility and message credibility. Additionally the research found surprisingly that information credibility was not giving a strong affect directly toward millennial adoption on social media marketing platform. However the study found that the usage of social media marketing strategy to promote SME products and services was recommended effectively, especially targeting for the millennial consumer segments since they are considered as the important digital native generational consumers in Indonesia market.
