The aim of this research is to discuss the key elements of successful implementation of floating buildings with purpose to activate waterfronts for the public use. The challenge of utilisation of waterfronts and bodies of water that meet city shores seems to have a global presence. Policy makers, planners and practitioners seek to reintroduce the waterfronts as places of public benefit and enjoyment and seem to be sharing the similar guiding principle on which functions these places are able to accommodate. By following this principle, city shores and their water are becoming a functional mix of public spaces where one can come to work, play or simply relax. From the standpoint of increased quality of life, we thus deliver benefits across all of its aspects: social, cultural and economic.
Budget terminal is a type of airport terminal designed to respond the specific needs of low-cost airlines companies. Standard terminals had to minimize daily operating costs. They kept the basic contents of regular airport terminals but had to reduce every other factor included in final ticket prize and change in a manner of terminal design. Within expansion of the budget airports, we analysed the case of Nis Constantine the Great Airport and tried to find the best solution for solving the current issues. This article suggests how airport owners and investors could apply an economic design to develop a strategy that would manage all requirements to maximize expected value.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
