Heredity presents topic on the crossing process on living organism and the characteristics inherited. In the school, however, there was no media enabled the teachers to visualize how the process took place. The available media had not yet been able to describe clearly the materials on heredity. This research to test the interactive media and revealing their effectiveness for teaching heredity topic. This was a developmental research which applied Four-D (4-D) models and consisted of four phases covering defining phase, designing phase, developing phase and disseminating phase. In this research, was only done at the develop phase, is only effectiveness phase. The media developed was tried out to the students of MAN 2 Padang. The sample involved in this research was 39 students. The result of the research showed that the number of the students who had achieved the KKM was 80%, and the score for the students activities was 82,14% (very effective). Based on the result of the research it was figured out that interactive media had been effective for teaching heredity topic.
Penilaian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk e-handout android bernuansa kontekstual pada materi pemanasan global yang digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran sehingga mempermudah guru dalam menjelaskan materi dan dapat memanfaatkan alokasi waktu yang tersedia di sekolah agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai. Jenis penelitian adalah R&D menggunakan model Plomp dengan subjek uji kelayakan perorangan 3 orang siswa, kelompok kecil 6 orang siswa dan uji kemudahan 32 orang siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Padang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Penilaian ini menghasilkan produk berupa e-handout android yang valid untuk digunakan berdasarkan penilaian dari validator ahli media dengan presentase rata-rata sebesar 97% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”. (2) Angket kelayakan siswa sebesar 97% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. (3) Respon guru dan siswa terhadap angket kemudahan penggunaan e-handout, guru sebesar 98% dan siswa sebesar 93% dengan kategori “Sangat Mudah”. Sehingga pengembangan e-handout android bernuansa kontekstual yang dikembangkan ini telah layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran karena telah memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, kelayakan, dan kemudahan dalam penggunaan.
