A method to evaluate harmonic currents and voltages associated with slip-power recovery drives (SPRD's) is presented. The rectifier commutation overlap and dc link current ripple are included in the analysis by using a hybrid between the traditional d-q and a-b-c induction motor models. The harmonic components are determined from closed-form expressions that are functions of the numerical values of the distorted waveforms. Computer simulations illustrate the nonperiodic nature of the stator currents and typical harmonic contents of rotor current and voltage at various speed values.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
