Technological progress is a challenge for learning history in the present era. The development of student learning patterns is in accordance with the times. The latest learning models are designed according to needs. In learning history the use of local historical sources is of concern and importance. Apart from this, the study of local history is a source of character values. The attractive packaging of the local history learning design is the focus of this research. Namely by packaging local history in a fun learning design in an Android application package. Local historical sites that are utilized are Dampul spring which is located in Besta Village, Tulungrejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. The use of Dampul springs varies from melasti for Hindus to consumption by residents of Besta & Village and Tulungrejo Villages. Social and cultural values and history are the potential of this water site so that it can be used as a source of learning. The method in this research includes qualitative and qualitative methods with direct field reviews, simulations and filling out questionnaires. In this activity, observations and interviews were carried out with managers and the supporting community. Historical methods are also used to reveal the historical narrative of this site. Furthermore, the syntax of learning game learning based on android is compiled by utilizing this site. Field data from this learning simulation generally includes 4 criteria, namely application view, content of the material, fun learning and learning objectives achieved, showing 77% achievement. This achievement shows that the learning design is effective
Malang City as one of the cities of cultural tourism and history in East Java has its own charm, one of which is village tourism. Village tourism with the feel of thematic cult ural entertainment named Heritage Kayutangan Village has not been well managed since it was founded a year ago. This research method is qualitative with observation and interviews. Kayutangan Malang Heritage Village has a unique appeal with the classic nuances of the past. Kampung Kayutangan offers several facilities such as village lines, old house visits, photo spots, traditional game spots, past photo galleries, antique galleries and ancient culinary variety. The potential of Heritage Kayutangan Village has not been managed properly. Two historical tourism management strategies offered are setting appropriate city government policies and effective promotions to increase tourism attractiveness.
Hamka is an Indonesian writer and scholar who has lived since the Dutch colonial era until contemporary. Hamka wrote some of his life experiences in the form of literary works, one of those is the novel Menunggu Beduk Berbunyi (1950). This novel contains important events regarding Soekarno-Hatta's arrest and exile to Bangka Island. Reading this novel will be a new experience for students who take courses in Modern Indonesian History. Qualitative research methods are used to critically examine the contents of novels for the development of teaching materials on modern Indonesian history. A semiotic analysis was used to dissect Hamka's novel Menunggu Beduk Berbunyi (1950). The results of the novel analysis Menunggu Beduk Berbunyi (1950) were used for the development of teaching material for Modern Indonesian History in order to enrich the historical awareness of students regarding the subjects of Modern Indonesian History.
As one of heritage sites in Central Java Province, Lasem had been known of its existence since Majapahit era, followed by Dutch colonization and later on Indonesian independence. Chinese migrated from mainland China to Java Island (one of them was Lasem) and other destinations in Southeast Asia from 14th until 20th century and peaked during transition turmoil from Ming to Qing dynasty. As consequences, it brought uniqueness to local community tradition as culture acculturation process happened in a new place that latter on called as “Little Tiongkok”. Oriental style settlements in Lasem had been influenced by China’s Southern Province of Fujian and Guangdong, which brought precious value not only for Lasem but also Indonesian heritage in general. Aims in the research were to explore Chinese heritage existence and threat that happened in Lasem and to understand some obstacles sustainable tourism there. Descriptive method has been used in the research, meanwhile data have been acquired through combination from literature study and survey. Research findings conclude that several oriental houses as Chinese Heritage in Dasun, Karangturi and Babagan villages are abandoned by latest generation due to migration based on economic reasons to bigger cities such as Jakarta, Semarang and Surabaya. Meanwhile Tridharma (tree believes/faiths) temples lost their members due to political regulation impact which happened across Indonesia. In the other hand, batik remains well-preserved in Lasem as having association with economic value both for the local and business owner.
Penanggungan Mount keeps a million relics with their respective historical stories. One of them is patirtan or ancient bathing site of Pasuruan, it calls the Patirtan Belahan. This historical site better known as Sumber Tetek (breast) by the surrounding community. This historical site is located at the foot of Mount Penanggungan and as one form of a tourist attraction with three functions at once. Patirtan Belahan is an evidence that in this local area of the site was the territory of one of the kingdoms in the archipelago. Patirtan Belahan is still preserved by the community and widely introduced. The uses and functions of these temples also vary, both as tourism destinations, educational fields, and even religious activities. The purpose of this research is to find out the function of Patirtan Belahan in three fields, namely as a tourist spot, historical edification, and also religion as the main points of our study. Our research also seeks to reveal how the site is one of the mainstays in the Belahan Jowo - Wonosunyo Village, Gempol. In one tourism place, there are three functions at the same time that can enrich tourist insight, of course, this can be a separate focus that can attract tourists as well as its benefits for stakeholders who are directly related to the Patirtan Belahan site. The method used for this study are observation, interview and also library research. This study used a qualitative approach because it is descriptive and tends to be analytical.
